OTA Update 2.6.0

Grrr - says he who is currently installing 2.6.1 …
Not happening to everyone. I’m on 2.6.0 and haven’t got these issues

I’m happy, just got 2 updates in a row today, I’m on 2.6.1 now and before this I could not even control heated seats / steering wheel from the app. I didn’t even know it was possible before today and then 💥 there it was….So for me that is a welcome addition, I assume others have had this…and that it works…its early but the update seems to have been well received. Most of my ambient light issues seem fixed (the previous update fixed that apparently).
I like the round trip estimate update in the navigation too, used it all the time in the Tesla.

I don't want to jinx myself but I have to say that after updating to 2.6.2, my internet has been very stable. I've had my car for only 8 weeks but after the new year I started having very frequent (2-3x / week) losses of internet requiring the TCU to be reset (power cycled). Since the update, I haven't had any issues with this. For that alone, I'm very happy and grateful!

I know I'm a bit behind. For some reason my car didn't get the push to 2.6.0 on its own. On Monday I reached out to customer care and they pushed it to my car within a few hours. The way they adjusted/fixed the audio has been fantastic. THIS is what I was hoping for when buying Surreal Sound Pro. Just great sound all around now. Hopefully they don't feel the need to tweak it further.

Does anybody else notice, though, a flickering of the pilot panel when GPS is active? I can't tell what exactly is happening, and my phone won't let me record video with CarPlay connected, but no matter what screen is displayed on the pilot panel, I can see the bottom of the screen look like it jumps up about 10% of the screen, then back to position. It's fairly quick, but easy to see out of the corner of my eye, and really distracting. It did this in 2.5.0, too, but seems worse in 2.6.0.

was hoping 2.6.2 would correct some issues... was just told by customer service today that my 2022 GT doesn't get this update... stay on 2.6.0 and shut up...

Quick question, I am still on 2.5.4 (received car end of Jan 2025 with it). Only real issue I am having is audio dropping out requiring the soft reset. Has happened 3 - 4 times in past month. Not sure if 2.6 fixes this issue, so should I wait for the OTA or contact CS to have them push it out to me. I also read on this forum Lucid may have paused the OTA updates to clean up a few bugs?
Thanks

Call and have them push.

Anyone else still on 2.5.x other than me? I've asked CC about pushing the update multiple times now. The first two occasions they said it was being pushed to my car (with no success) and the third time I received a canned comment about the queue taking several weeks (it's been over a month now) and to be patient, and that it also shouldn't affect receiving subsequent updates, etc.

Not complaining that I'm still missing the update, necessarily, but it just seems odd to me that it would take this long and not receive the update after the team manually pushing the update multiple times. Feels to me like there's a potential issue with my car and the CC reps aren't really understanding the situation, but maybe I'm not alone and am just overthinking!

Figures that as soon as I post this I get the update notification. Nevermind! 🤣

I am on 2.6.0. Got a notice this morning to update to 2.6.11.

However, when I tried to install 2.6.11, it won't proceed.

Anyone else have this problem?

No, my update was quick, under 15 minutes. Only "issue" was the app told me I had to manually unlock the doors.

Thanks....I was unable to initiate the update via the APP after many attempts. I then tried to initiate from the car, but was also unsuccessful.

I tried to initiate the update from the car for the third time and it proceeded. I have not checked on the results yet, but it is progress!

One small step for man... lol!

Also got 2.6.11 prompt this morning (updating from 2.6.0). Update was quick. Only one fix mentioned in the release notes.

I received a notice this morning too. It took less than 10 minutes. No adverse issues so far.

I realize this thread is about the OTA and not about charging. But I'm tagging on to this thread because people mentioned their vehicle being offline multiple times. I just plugged into an EA charger while my vehicle was offline and it would not connect or charge. Customer service told me the two things were not related and that vehicle should still charge while it's offline. To test that theory, I connected the car's Wi-Fi to my mobile hotspot on my phone and the vehicle went back online. Then pulled into an EA charger and it's charging fine. Can anyone confirm or deny if the vehicle being offline affects the ability to DC fast charge at EA?

I have no proof of this, but I do strongly suspect the car needs to be able to talk to the internet to authorize with EA automatically. I would hope it would still work if you used a credit card or the EA app to authorize it though.

Being offline should not affect the ability to charge at EA. The certificate for PnC is stored on the car itself, and it is EA that does the talking to the internet, not your car.

The only exception, possibly, and I’m not actually sure of this, is if the authentication fails and you need to open the app to select which EA charger you’re at. In that case, your *phone* would need to be online, but even then the car should still work offline.

I’ll try to test it sometime, because I’m curious, but if someone else gets to it first: connect it to a hotspot that has no internet access (but does provide wifi); easiest way is just take out the SIM or turn it off. Then try to charge at an EA.

Hm, I don’t think so. But I also have no proof of this.

I’d love to see it tested! Would be good to know.
