New IOS Mobile App 2.0

I just did a ‘spit take’ with my beer when I just looked down at my phone to see the lucid app. 🤣
(Car is at SC and probably plugged in to something magical)

Hahaha I’ve seen this too. 255 is the maximum value you can store in a single byte, so my guess is they’re representing the SOC internally as an unsigned byte - which actually isn’t a bad idea. No reason to use four bytes when you can use one.

But it also looks like before they’ve loaded “real data” it defaults to the maximum value heh

So why does my Lucid app seem “stuck”, and what can I do about it?

I still can’t get my app to work. It’s still stuck, it’s still useless.

For any other Android users: it looks like the new mobile app released on the Play Store. I just downloaded it and am currently getting used to the new interface.

i have scientifically deduced that it's 100% impossible to walk up to my car with my iPhone (16) in my pocket, with latest iOS and latest app.. and have it unlock the car. documented over 45 times in the last 2 weeks, there was not a single time when the car unlocked without having to take the phone out of my pocket and 'looking' at my phone to unlock it... as that happens, the car will unlock. I've tried it with my apple watch off, and same thing. The ONLY time it did open as I was approaching the car.... was when I forgot that the key fob was in my pocket when I was picking my car up from the SC a few weeks ago. I've been documenting ever since.

So now I just look at my phone to unlock the car. (pain in tushy when hands are full and you're screaming to your phone in your pocket "SIRI, UNLOCK MY LUCID" followed by "SIRI OPEN MY LUCID TRUNK". (much enjoyment to the other patrons in the Trader Joes Parking lot wondering why i'm yelling at my pants) Even after unlocking, it may still take about 15 sec to physically unlock with my hand waiting ON the door handle. Feature... or bug? I kinda strike it up to the app or the phone not having BlueTooth active when locked? As soon as I look at my phone to unlock the car.. I see the 'location' carrot become active on my phone, telling me it's alive (assuming that the app is triggering the BT hunt).. it's shortly after that appears, that i see the yellow light blink in the car and the car unlocks.

hoping in any way 'said deducing' can help make it better.

Have you tried quitting and re-launching the app?

Yes, I did. I even shut my phone and powered it back up again. No change. App is still stuck. I’m thinking I’ll have to delete the app, and start all over again with mobile key, etc.

What exactly do you mean by stuck?

Let’s say I try to unlock the doors, I get message below. “That didn’t work. Try again”. Same thing when I try to change the charge level. “That didn’t work. Try again”.

Does the car have cell coverage?

Yes, or if it’s in my garage, then wifi.
I don’t think the remote services on the App use WiFi but if the garage has ample cell coverage it shouldn’t be an issue. Could be a TCU issue that needs a reset.

Your car may be in read-only mode.

@marqie I've texted CS but can you please let the mobile team know that my mobile key has dropped at least 3 times since I've updated the app on my Android. There's a bug in the new Android app's code somewhere.

Have you gone through all the suggestions in Bobby’s mobile key video? Some are iOS specific, but specifically deleting and re-adding the mobile key (ensuring to delete the Bluetooth connection too) might fix it.

A few folks had to do that with the iOS app update.

Yup. Did all of that multiple times. This latest re-add of the key doesn't even show it in the car.
