I know that the subject was entertained before.
This happened to me a few hours ago.
Sudden fogging of the front windshield while driving on the highway, is totally unacceptable and very dangerous to boot.
Can Lucid explain?
I'm pissed.

Have them check if your coolant heater failed.

"2022-2024 Lucid Air Recall
A high voltage coolant heater that fails to defrost the windshield can reduce the driver's view, increasing the risk of a crash. Lucid has released an over-the-air software update to identify a high voltage coolant heater failure and provide a warning to the driver."

omg... same happened to me in pouring raii going 70 on the highway w/ the family in the car a few weeks after taking delivery in November. had to have my car serviced to fix.

My windshield fogged up rather suddenly for the first time the other day too. But as soon as I turned on the defroster it cleared right up. (I generally keep that toggled off; I think this is the first time I turned it on in the two months that I’ve owned the car)

Did the problems that you to above had occur while the defroster was running?

No, i rarely run the defroster. A few rare occasions when I'm parked, ready to go to work @4am and the windshield is icey. That's all .
