All Season Tires/Wheels

I have a 2024 AT with 20" Aero Lite Stealth Wheels. Looking to to switch to an all season tire rather than having to swap out summer/winter. There doesn't appear to be many options for 20" all season tires, so I was thinking that I might switch to a 19" wheel. Looking at the Lucid 19" Aero Range Stealth All Season Wheel and Tire package, but it comes with Pirelli P Zero All Season tires. They aren't as highly rated as the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season. Thoughts on either tire would be appreciated. Also, I assume that it would be okay to switch from 20" wheels to 19". If so, would I see an increase in range?

Switching from 20 to 19 is fine and will increase in better range, just be sure to calibrate your tires once the swap is done in the Pilot Panel settings (not exactly sure where it is, might even be in the mobile app) but the setting is definitely there and needs to be set

Yes get the Michelins if you can. The Pirelli’s for me are not great. Car doesn’t feel as nearly planted or precise vs the summer only Michelin’s. Some of this is to be expected with an all season due to a softer taller sidewall and tread. But IMO it Feels like you’re driving on marbles at high speed. Something I don’t experience with my other cars with high performance Michelin all seasons or even dedicated winter tires.

I just got Nokian Remedy WRG5 All Weather 19s on my Air GT after 34,500 miles. The right front Pirelli had worn close to the limit so I pulled the trigger a little early since winter/harsh weather are approaching in New England. These Nokians are excellent, I think a slightly more cushioned ride than the Pirellis, albeit also slightly more noisy at certain frequencies but fine at others. They grip super well. I think All Weather is superior to All Season as better stopping distance grip in heavy rain and snow.

Looking for guidance. I lease a 2024 Touring with 20" staggered setup Front-245 /40 R20 99Y. Rear-265 /40 R20 104Y. Summer of course. Don't want to buy tires for essentially 1 winter before I return lease next Fall.

I have a brand new set of 20" rims and tires from my Model Y. I wanted to simply use the new tires for the winter and put them on the Lucid rims. Here are the specs of the Tesla tires: 255/40R20 101Y M+S (non staggered)

Haha. Love to but the residual value is like $82k. Got a sick deal on the 18 month/15k lease for Air Touring Stealth loaded. $101k car, $7500 down and in pay $550/month. That exact car now leases for over $1200.

Hope they will offer the option to let me out of my lease for Gravity as that’s what I really want.

Just need to get through the winter and not have to spend $$ on tires.

That’s a killer deal. Use that $ saved to get the Nokian WRG5 All weather like I got. They’re more grippy than the Pirelli OEMs (I’d imagine the 20” are as well as the 19”). The Nokian are not expensive, they were $1300 for a full set.

But yeah good plan to try and switch into Gravity. I don’t even like SUVs but want a Gravity, but I’m not in a lease so I just consider my options when the Air is paid off.

The Michelin PS AS 4's work pretty well. They are slightly louder and less grippy than the OEM Michelin PS EVs, which drive beautifully when the temperature is right. But the AS tires are a 95% solution. Good experience with those tires on other cars too. Can't really comment on range impact though - only had the OEMs on for ~200mi before switching.
Not a lot of options with the 265/45/20 tire size unfortunately. They could have picked a more common size.

All-season tires often have the "M+S" marking, which stands for "mud and snow". They may also have the "3PMSF" symbol, which is a snowflake inside a three-peaked mountain.

Take a picture? The default 20s are summer tires iirc…

I recently put a new set of Pirelli P Zero all season tires on my GT. I would definitely NOT do it again if I had the chance. Very disappointed in the range of the new tires; they ride well but I'm lucky to get 3.3mi/Kwh with conservative driving. I averaged 3.8 before the new tires.

Summer tires are not the ones you want for range. But they handle a lot better, as long as it isn’t below 40-45F or so.

No all-weather markings and so I think they are just summer, which in NJ is ridiculous. I already have a call into them. They really shouldn’t be selling these tires in the northeast, at least without first telling the customer.

BTW - is it just the tires that would need to be swapped out, or would the rims also need to be swapped out?

Lucid doesn't offer 20" all season tires. Pretty sure there are some 20" options you can buy with the right load rating, just not from Lucid.

That doesn't make sense, the 19" PZero A/S wheel/tire combo is the highest range option you can get. I easily get over 4.0 mi/kWh on them in warmer months. Are you sure you aren't just seeing the effects of winter temperatures hitting at the same time you switched?

Lucid doesn't offer 20" all season tires.

I've been told on this forum the Pure 20s come with all seasons, including by those who have them. However, when looking at the configurator on Lucid's website, it says the 20s are the same summer tires as what I have. I'm not sure how to assimilate this information. Either the owners are wrong, the configurator is wrong, or something has changed with the 2025 Pure 20s?

OP: unless I missed it I don't see any indication of the conditions you face in the winter. Are you driving often in snow? If yes...just a sprinkling or lots? Much ice? Elevation changes in your normal driving?

Going from pure winter tires to all season tires will be an adjustment. Some are more performance oriented (e.g. Pilot Sport) and others more for handling in snow and ice. Some all season tires are specifically targeted at snowy conditions such as all weather tires:

So the conditions you drive in and how you like to drive would impact on which all season tires are best for you.

I got replacement tires from TireRack.com: Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus Elect 245/45R19, which is exactly what was originally on the car. Pretty disappointed

With the 2025 Air Touring, only the 19" wheels are All-Season tires. The 20" and 21" ones are Summer tires:
