OMG I just love my Lucid!! Do you?

Actually, I stayed in a normal car seat until I was 10(which is a extraordinarily long time considering i was like 5'2 then)! One of my birthday presents was being able to throw that seat in the trash, lol

Okay I'm sending my social security number in dms /s

And on the topic of this thread, my dad loved the Lucid because it was so fast it made my mom get out! Then we had full freedom to floor it, which we indeed did. Then I went to the hospital because I dislocated my neck! Seriously, even the pure pulled ridiculously hard at 80 mph.
Wait, you didn't really dislocate your neck, did you? Because if you did, then boy did you bury the lede there lol

Lol I dont think I actually dislocated it, but I was NOT prepared for that rush at 80 mph. My head got slammed back even then and since I did a neck workout at the gym some days ago, it did hurt a bit! Nothing too serious though.

For our GT-P test drive I was adequately prepared! I have literally sat and rode in the craziest, fastest cars ever(a 812 superfast, a m8)and even the "puny" pure was shocking. I never got my head snapped back at high double digits like that in anything else.

People ask me, "How do you like the Lucid?"

Always stumps me. I've taken to just saying, "Yeah." because I don't believe that is their question.

I believe the real question they are asking: " Am I a loser for not getting a Lucid ".

and I'd give them the same answer:

"Yeah."

I have driven my Air Touring for 4 months now. Oh my. I just love it!

I have driven BMWs for over 25 years. 3, then 5 then 7 series then my last 8 series. Although I enjoyed driving these cars none of them gave me the pleasure and excitement as my Lucid.

The suspension is just perfect on turns and acceleration,
the power is exhilarating,
the instrument panel gives me exactly what I need,
the blind spot camera is on point,
the sound system is the best I have ever heard in a car,
The seats are comfortable and hold your body in place,
The interior is well appointed but simple,
The range is exactly what I need,
And the car looks awesome!

Do you agree? Or does the car have some brain washing flashing lights??
Coming up on a year and 12k miles on my Air this weekend. Never gets old. Puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.

Still looks new when I wash it. Inside and out. Tires holding up great.

My range has been excellent. Especially compared to my previous EV.

Software has been steadily improving. Though once I got CarPlay, the rest has all been gravy.

Oh yeah it is absolutely not a taycan. I went into a porsche dealership, sat in the front seat, everybody in the family loved it. Then it came to the back seat... safe to say we were onto the next in the dealer tour very quickly(even though the cool porsche guy had a can of blinker fluid which was hilarious).

I would liken it to a M340i seat. 70 percent comfort, 30 percent sportiness.
I had an m340. You’re absolutely right but I think the GT seat is closer to the m340. Decent side support but no shoulder base support. The touring seat feels looser

And yes, Taycan rear seats are next to useless for anyone other than small kids lol

Sometimes when I'm passing thru the garage I just stop and look.
Sometimes I touch it, and gently brush my hand along the style line.
I've never done that before.

Sometimes I need to go get milk. In Pittsburgh.

Exactly! I still have the urge to drive the car everytime I see it in my garage, even after a year! Shows you how amazing the car is. Hats off to Peter and his team. It reminds of Apple philosophy- attention to detail, make the best product you can!

I trialed a GT seat, so it is absolutely possible that is the case!

And I'm a kid, but a 5'10 one at that. Almost no cars impress me with their legroom(especially sedans). To date, only the Lucid and the i7 have done it.

My husband did that to my son when we first got the Lucid. I wasn't in the car for that one. my son told me a few days later.

i always get great remarks about its looks, it nothing beats an incident with my 2004 Thunderbird. My wife and I were stopped as the first car at a red light in Quebec. As we were waiting for the light a pedestrian steps out of the walkway and begins to circle the car uttering “Ooh La, La!“ repeatedly. I looked at my wife and said, “I am glad the convertible top is up, and I hope the light turns green before he tries to consummate this relationship with the car.”

Yup. I get lots of looks in both my Lucid and Thunderbird. Rivian turns heads too. I guess I’m just an attention seelet!

Are you sure? Better than a Nissan Sentra! Now that’s saying a lot. 😆
Nissan Sentra was hand me down when I turned 16 my first car got a lot of speeding tickets. My family didn’t have much money single dad too. I had to work myself up to buy GT in my 30s so it’s a nice change but I remember my humble roots.

I do wonder though, what year was the first model s(non-plaid)? That ATS is sick!

I have owned alot of 911 Turbo S cars over the years, Sl65,Lexus SC400, 91 Zr1 Vette, Lightnings, Raptors etc and I have to say my Dream and Sapphire are my most fun yet. I have a collection of old Musclecars and had high end restomod cars but Lucid are just so smooth. Maybe it's my old age that is making me really prefer the smooth quiet stupid fast power more than the explosiveness of a Turbo S.

I have driven my Air Touring for 10 months now as of 12/14/23.

The suspension is just perfect on turns and acceleration, 🏁✅
the power is exhilarating, 🏁✅
the instrument panel gives me exactly what I need, ✅✅
the blind spot camera is on point, ✅✅📷 Curbed rims be damned!
the sound system is the best I have ever heard in a car, ✅💃💃I love SSPro and Dolby Atmo so much that I often post my SSPro demos on Twitter while sitting in the rear center seat from my garage!
The seats are comfortable and hold your body in place, ❌❌❌ I gave these multiple ❌'s because while Yes, the Touring seats look just as nice and are as comfy as the DE and GT seats, to not have offered us Touring folks the option in the 2023 model for massaging seats was a miss by Lucid. I'm done talking about though. It's too painful!
The interior is well appointed but simple, ✅✅✅ Santa Cruz is absolutely stunning second only in my opinion to Santa Monica found in DE's.
The range is exactly what I need, ✅✅✅
And the car looks awesome! ✅✅✅✅✅ The color shifting Zenith Red is a damn head turner and just stunning especially if you witness the color shifting throughout the day!

Do you agree? Or does the car have some brain washing flashing lights??
