Okay here is a link to a magnetic solution to the carpool lane stickers. This one works with magnets but I'm not sure it will work over PPF?? Anyway, for the price worth trying.

This one uses 3M Protective Film but not as easy to put on and off.

Now that I think about it, this approach could also work for the front license plate decal assuming you could get a large enough piece of the magnetic material and cut to fit the decal??

Wish I’d known this before I put the stickers on! At least it’s on top of the PPF and ceramic.

Yea...hmm replacement stickers are only $22...

Hadn't even thought about it but with my Lucid can I drive in the HOV lanes in Ca. ?

You need that hov sticker if you are solo. Also some of the freeways use FastTrak so you will need the transponder set to hov ok

I have the transponder. How do I get the sticker ?

Huh, didn't even think about that.
Easy enough to figure out. Just take a refrigerator magnet and see if it will stick to the car. If not then the 3M solution is probably the best option but that won't be easily removable over and over.

I needed that three years ago when I got the stickers for my Leaf….

I’ve used another layer of PPF right below the sticker in the past, it allows it to peal off easily, but not easily enough to be stolen

Yeah but the problem is I really don't want to leave them on all the time. I'd like to be able to put them on only when I know I will be traveling during carpool hours alone. That's why the magnets are such an attractive solution. But if they won't work with aluminum I need another solution for easy on easy off. Perhaps some sort of temporary glue that is easily removable???

Velcro! attach a velcro spot to the car, easy on easy off... I don't think that solves your problem of wanting the car blemish free without them though :)

That is a possible solution but as you say, still leaves an unpleasant spot on the car. There must be some sort of temporary glue that could be applied and then pulled off? I'm thinking about maybe the rubber glue we used to play with when we were kids that you could pull off and rub between your fingers??

Okay I checked them out and looks like it could be a solution. It does say "slick slippery surfaces" can be a problem so with my PPF and Ceramic Coating could blow off when I'm running the Quarter Mile at 150 mph!!

Mine seems to come off pretty easily with the ceramic coating tbh - does yours not? While washing it I found myself having to stick it back on haha
