From speaking with my DA, it's clear that they are only given selective pieces of information. And it's also clear that some DAs have been trained in the art of giving non-answers. It's like when I asked my son if he vaped after watching a particularly incriminating video. His answer: "I do not have any vaping paraphernalia on my person at this time." It's a non-answer, but you can fill in the blanks.

With the clear production issues for the DEs, the blanks suggest that a four-month production timeline is the bare minimum for now. And if Lucid wants to be the anti-Rivian, they should own up to it and be more informative. With publicly acknowledged production cuts, what's the big deal with being transparent?

Fortunately, a few months from now, it may not matter as you'll be too busy enjoying your Lucid Air. Or in my case, a few months from now, I'll have forgotten that I was worried about Lucid delivery because I'll be too busy worrying about something else. Or because I'll be forgetting things in general.

5 months most likely. I provided mine in November and still waiting……

I definitely will provide a review but I want some more time in the car. I am still finding out what this car can and cannot do and I do not want to comment on things that are pilot error.

Hey I just was requested to provide my Drivers License. Would any one have any insight on how long it is before I receive my Vin #?

I was asked this when I confirmed, but promptly forgot, so they requested it again when I got my VIN, so perhaps soon?

I just confirmed our order on March 4 (AGT with Zenith Red exterior, Mojave interior, 19" wheels).

My DA reached out today. The timing guidance is pretty much the same as reported by everyone else: 2-4 months. However, he did emphasis that it would be more likely around the later value.

Wow, you certainly did reserve early. And here I was thinking my December 2019 was early.

You definitely could have the first GT produced, but Orlando Bloom got his before anyone else. I believe it was on February 25, according to the paparazzi mags.

Not quite - I asked about that and here's the behind-the-scenes. He actually was pictured and drove away with the Beverly Hills demo/pre-production car. So, at first I was bummed about not being first but then learned that his was not a production GT. So, it could be that he trades it back when his is ready or something. It was good publicity for Lucid. Lucid folks told me that it's not the first production GT that he had in his hands.

Interesting. Maybe he has a DE but it wasn't ready so they gave him their pre-prod until his DE is ready

It's funny. My DA said it was the preproduction GT from BH too, but I trusted hydbob's source saying he got the first GT. Last time I trust @hydbob

Congrats! How is your software working? I suppose it is worth noting you got the zenith red but not the Santa Cruz interior. This kind of lines up with everyone’s perception of what the factory is producing now.

Yea, I'm glad Lucid is delivering GTs. Unfortunately, for some Dream owners they still don't have their cars due to the carpetting issue. Good for the company though!

Agreed it is a bummer for DE reservations. The only thing I’ve heard is that the problem is a few of the hard-shell carpet pieces in the footwells. Hopefully they revise parts to just a single dark color so that inventory simplifies and we don’t get dirt smudges.
