Has the opinion on the Touring being not really wanted vs the Pure changed since the Air credit?

Touring
I remember before the start of Touring and Pure reservations being filled the thought was Lucid needed to get to the Pure as soon as possible since there was more reservation for them. Do you think this has changed and now the Touring has been placed back as a contender or was the Air credit the only boom for the Touring and the Pure is still what Lucid needs?

I had the pure reservation. I went for the touring specifically for the tax credit. The cars are largely the same except for some more HP and glass and some little things which didn't feel BIG, but more attempts at product differentiation.Tbh, I feel like the touring should be a max specd pure instead of a whole separate tier, but what do I know I'm not a product/marketing/logistics guy.

Imo they need the Pure because it's cheaper and they need to sell stuff and there is a larger audience at lower price points.

I went with the Touring because of the Air credit. If not I would have stuck with the Pure. Though I wish the stealth option and solid rood had been included with the credit.

Before people were saying that the touring wasnt necessary, but I think that perception has shifted.

I upgraded from all-wheel drive Pure to Touring because in February my DA claimed that it might be another 3-6 months before I could get a Pure, but I could have the Touring the next day. I am glad I went with the Touring. The only thing about the Touring I truly dislike is the glass canopy. Even with the AC running it feels like a convection oven inside on sunny spring days. I had my detailer put a darker skin on the inside of the canopy, but that does not reflect the sun back out. In any event, my Touring has a few nice frills unavailable on the Pure and I'm very pleased with it.

Get it tinted, say at 70%. You won’t notice it any darker, but the heat rejection is spectacular. When I drove the loaner, on a hot day I could feel the sun beating down. In my tinted car (which I have back now, yay) I forgot the sun was even out lol, until it got in my eyes.

I would just add to make it carbon ceramic tint. It is more expensive but well worth it.

I'm happy with the decision I made of upgrading to Touring becuase I found that I really enjoy the glass canopy and the extra HP.

Well thats not too common to hear in the northeast(where heat is an issue). I really wish that we could have a metal roof with platinum finish, I(and im sure many others) would order that in a heartbeat.

You can wrap the top. Are you ready to order? Have you parents decided?

I have noticed that the interior is pretty warm recently in the Northeast when you first get in your car. After driving around and letting it air out or turning on the A/C it does get cooler. I'll have to think about that deeper tint.

My DA also found a production car at the time and that was another reason I switched from the Pure.

Really close actually. Just exploring some other options "to be safe"(range rover lwb specifically) but the air is probably going to be their choice. Unless gravity is good in which case we will be reserving a DE gravity.
Also, my parents want to keep the car stock as much as possible, so wrapping is really not an option. I also dont really know how we would find the exact color..

My AT does get hot while parking under the Sun. Getting all her windows tinted helps, not much, but I'm pleased with the result.
It really doesn't matter what kind of roof you get for your car. Metal or glass or whatever, they all get heated up. Can't escape from the Cali Sun.

Then should the Touring with roof replace the Pure. Removing the stealth and surround sound pro and maybe going RWD.

I absolutely HATE tints. It makes the car look like a ricer from the outside. I do respect others opinion though, and for some its a necessity, especially in cali!

I’m not a fan of tinting, either.

Now if somebody made a tint that kept heat out, but was transparent, i'd buy it in a heartbeat. It cant really be that hard to do, considering we have all the tech for it.
It's called any ceramic tint, just opt for a clear version up to 70 and you can barely notice a difference.
