If I'm anywhere near my car - in an adjacent room, sometimes in a bedroom above the garage, my AGT tends to unlock and connect to my phone. If I get a call during this time, I often don't notice that the car has taken the call via Bluetooth, so I don't hear anything on my phone. Wish the car would not make a connection to my phone unless I was actually in the car.

In my case when I accept the call in the car it is a hit or a miss if I will hear the caller.

At the least, the car shouldn't take Bluetooth calls until a door has been opened after unlocking.

While this isn't an uncommon problem with cars (my 16 X5 had the same problem for several minutes after getting out of it), using the occupancy sensor as a decision maker for taking over a call would be a great idea.

I do think that adding a “transfer call” button to the Lucid UI would be helpful; Tesla has this, so if I’m already on a call it doesn’t automatically switch to the car’s Bluetooth.

/cc @Firstto520 @mcr16 in case y’all see this.

Something might be wrong here. My car never takes over audio or a call if I'm standing outside of it unless I open the door. The second I do that, the car takes over.

I’ve definitely had the car take over the call if I’m near it and it unlocks, but only if I recently parked the car. I suspect the issue is whether or not the car is asleep or not. It doesn’t actually “awaken” until you open the door, unless it never went to sleep in the first place.

So as an example, if I’m on a call when I get home, transfer to my phone, lock the car, walk inside, forget I needed something from the garage, walk back out, and the car unlocks, it takes over my call as it never actually fell asleep in the first place.

I agree that, if it was asleep and I don’t open the door, it will not take over my call.

Mine does the same BUT if I am on a call, leave the car, transfer to the phone , go inside the house, after a few minutes, it connects back to the car's Bluetooth automatically which is annoying because then I am talking to no one for a few minutes. So, now, as leave the car, I jump to the app (while talking on the phone), and use the Lucid app to lock the car to prevent this problem.

I remember my Tesla had the same issue but then they fixed it with one of their software updates many years ago.

That means you’re too close to the car in general, and it is either not locking, or it is locking and then unlocking as you get closer. This likely causes other issues like additional battery drain on the fob and/or car.

I’m not saying it’s great, but maybe try faraday’ing the fob and turning off your mobile key Bluetooth temporarily to see if that fixes it? You can leave on the audio
Bluetooth so you can test that scenario. At least that’ll help diagnose.

I know it is not locking hence why it switches over. My point is it shouldn't switch over once I leave the car. The car eventually falls asleep because when I goto it in the morning, I cant wake it up lol

The FOBs are in a Faraday pouch 24/7. I only use the mobile key. I will test your scenario the next time it happens :)

I can reiterate how annoying this can be when you’re on the phone with Lucid and EA and they’re having you come in and out of the car when charging is failing to plug and unplug. I do wish there was a way to manual way to indicate that the vehicle to take over the call.

I have this problem as well. In fact, I have a Bluetooth more audio system and any time I pull up Spotify on my home audio, the Air will grab it and start playing in the car. I mean,I'm over 30 or sofeet away fromthe car t this point and at least two house walls.

Way too agressive.
