You guys keep talking about Tidal. Do I want this? I have a pixel 5 phone. I do not know what all those little pictures do, except for the pocket casts and the Lucid app (which I have been forced to learn). Will the Tidal app scare me?

Also it seems we have a few audio geeks here.... what again is the best fidelity connection and source for music? I thought I read somewhere that borski or the dude advocate USB stick ? Looks like I have to open an account just to read about the service. Is it worth premium price for that level of fidelity in our cars ? and one more thing ... is there a way I can enjoy my CD collection thru Lucid audio system? Dammit I just now realzed I should have searched for a thread on Lucid audio. Sorry.

I would love to give you my perspective on parts of your discussion.

The Tidal app is actually pretty easy to use , with a bit of patience and practice. When I first subscribed , it was a bit of a learning curve , but I figured it out pretty quickly.
Chances are many of your favorite CDs may be on Tidal, but there is no guarantee . If you do get Tidal , you first get the app on your phone and then pair it with the car .

If you have the surreal sound package you won’t experience it’s full potential unless you steam high quality audio in a so called lossless FLAC format like Tidal. Apple Music and Amazon music also stream lossless ( non compressed )music files . The main thing to keep in mind is that not all selections in Tidal are so called hifi ( but many are ) and only a tiny minority are Atmos ( the most impressive sound available ) . There is also master quality audio in Tidal, which is fantastic. There is certainly a discernible difference in quality, especially with the Lucid system , between Bluetooth ( what you would connect via your phone) and lossless Tidal music. For me, it’s so noticeable I have difficulty listening to Bluetooth in the Lucid because of its inferior sound.

Just thought I would share my thoughts. I am not an expert in this area, but have a pretty strong opinion.

Got "Unable to Install Update" warning; "We will inform you when a new update is available." First time an update has failed for me.

Update to failed update story: .47 was re-pushed late morning and installed successfully. Unfortunately, our roads are solid ice at the moment (cars in ditches, sliding backwards down the hill in front of our house), so prudence dictates that I wait until things melt this weekend to see how the new version works.

Really? My front\rear camera view still fails to show up quickly. I see the "unavailable" 95% of the time since about 4 updates ago. I'm basically out of the spot before the cameras engages. I'm starting to get a little frustrated now as they worked flawlessly in the early 2.0 days and now just seems to progressively get worse as each update comes along. The cameras are probably my only real gripe at the moment.

Same issues for me, plus the surround view no longer fills the pilot screen when I am parking. Have to press the P on the pilot screen for the surround cameras to wake up. Camera functionality has degraded with updates since 2.033.

47 has dramatically improved the stability of various features (Alexa, backup cameras, etc).

I was driving yesterday and oh boy, this car is soooo good when everything's just working.

Cold night, seat massage going, seat heaters on, subtle but classy lighting, SiriusXM playing (flawlessly), and a perfectly comfortable ride. *chef's kiss*

Soo...I jinxed myself. Had the rear camera blank out on me yesterday. And my right read door has stopped soft closing.

I’m still showing .45. There has been no push of software to me but I got .45 with the Alexa update. Something new came up for me since .45 update. My wife’s profile always comes up when the car is confused on mobile key and she is no where near by. I think it’s because that was the last profile created. I’ll have to reach out to customer care for a push and to notify of the latest profile bug. Maybe this .47 update will fix it.

Did anyone else have this issue before .47?
Did .47 fix it?

I have never had this issue. It can get confused when the key is nearby, but never when it isn’t.

Never had this happen to me. But the Bluetooth range on some devices is far and I noticed it's easier for me to get out of the car and push the handle in to lock it because if the restaurant is right by the car, it would never turn off.

But mobile key is much more reliable now. Sometimes it fails but turning Bluetooth off and on again fixes it

47 Okay so a little Christmas gift for the last update backing out at home Depot the car all of a sudden turn bright red on all the panels and said stop... And it stopped then the center console pilot panel went totally dark try to do a Bobby reboot in the middle of the parking lot of course blocking the lane in home Depot to no avail the car would not move was totally unresponsive got out of the car try to another reboot with the directional in valet card no response got back in the car try to Bobby reboot and guess what the car rebooted but still no display in the center section but the card did go into drive and I was able to get out of the middle of the road went home parked close the door had a drink went back out to the car 40 to 50 minutes later did a Bobby reboot and guess what everything seemed to be okay except the panel did not have a 360° view it just had a four camera view did another reboot seems to be working okay but the car is having a tendency of giving warnings of proximity such as two or close to the right to close to the front and so forth I guess it was just a Christmas gift from lucid a Merry Christmas to everyone happy holidays

When I got in the car this morning the left and center panels were dark. Tried Bobby reset and valet card reset and still wouldn’t turn on. Wife went back into the house, totally unimpressed with my new car. Another try at valet reset got the panels working. Called my wife back and told her we’re good to go. Pulling out of the driveway got a warning that emergency braking was disabled. We agreed best not to continue to our appointment.

Anyway did another valet reset with turn signal and cleared the error. Ended up taking a chance all was well and went on our way.

Pretty embarrassing with new car. Not sure my wife will be down for any road trips anytime soon.

This update appears to be unstable. This is the 4th time I’ve noticed it resetting itself in the past 3 or 4 days. Tonight, the pilot panel just got stuck on this

Waited over 10 mins, didn’t change. Leaving the car, coming back didn’t change. Valet reset didn’t change. Ultimately, I was left no choice but to do the steering wheel reset and everything came back.

I don’t know if Lucid is rushing these updates in prep for something bigger but I’d prefer them to QA them properly. 2 steps forward, 1 step back it seems.

Speaking of things getting stuck, when I'm in the left land, I like to stick to the left and hug the line to avoid trucks and big guys next to me
The ADAS keeps pushing me to the center and I play tug O war with it for a while sometimes.
Today it said "please pay attention" or "keep hands on wheel" or something, like I didn't know what was going on, when obviously I've been fighting it to stay to the left.

Well this red caution sign came on and disabled my left blind spot camera.
Never went away the whole night. Reset it 4 times using valet reset and walking away from it for 30 minutes at a time.
Eventually by next morning it still wasn't gone. But somewhere throughout the day, I noticed it was gone.
Seems dumb to remove a safety feature for an unwanted ADAS problem
