Yearly service

How often is tire rotation needed? Mine had 5k miles and I asked for one when it went in for some other service, and they did it.
But if it was only required at 12k, maybe they should have asked me to wait. It was $60.
Lucid recommends 12,000 miles for the 19 inch wheels only. The general recommendation is

Lucid does not recommend moving the
wheels between the front and rear axles, or
from side to side on the same axle pair.

For what it's worth, Tyson's gave me my service at 12k miles after about 8 months so it seems like they're tying it to mileage, not time.
Should I schedule maintenance at 12k miles?

I need a couple of the rubber aero wedges and whatever (pardon the expression) "fasteners" they use to temporarily hold them in place.
After the total eclipse of the sun there is supposed to be a service center opening near me...I can wait...none of the service items are critical.

Does annual service include tire rotation?

Ok, i have a mobile service scheduled for 2nd year maintenance. Not sure how mobile service can performance tire rotation. Also i need to find the information from previous service if they have performed tire rotation at all.

I didnt see it was listed in details. Not sure if they performed it or not.

Performed 12k service. Top off wiper fluid. Replace wiper inserts. Replace sunvisor and key fob battery.

Not sure where you are based, but in Austin at least, mobile service has an arrangement with a local garage that they are able to lift the car and do all the proper inspections as well as tire rotation. Worth asking if you haven’t already…

I am near Tampa Florida. Will ask support on how they are planing tire rotation. Seems it was not done in previous service and my front tires are in pretty bad shape.

I'm coming on 2 years and have not had service. I have 6K miles. Do I need to pay the $600 for the year 2 service? Or wait to year 3?

My last car was a 2016 Tesla S. I really never had service and never had a problem.

Year 2 is $600? Was this listed somewhere?

Owners manual says “NOTE: A message will display on the Glass Cockpit to remind you to service your vehicle.” has anyone seen a message in cockpit. I haven't seen any message till now of me driving 27k miles.

No, that is not an actual thing. You should still stay on top of service every 12k miles to keep your warranty valid.

I agree, but does this exist in Lucid a notification about time for service as mentioned in the owners manual?

Nope. I'm guessing they planned to implement that but still haven't actually gotten around to it.

Great, something non existent made it to owner manual and is there for nearly 4 years.

I have 13k miles in 12 months (15k/yr) and I did not get any notification. If they don't care, I don't either. Let's see them trying to void warranty based on "oh, we didn't get to implement the schedule service notification" - that will be fun. Scheduling an email or a phone call is the easiest thing in the world, doesn't need an army of engineers.

Scheduling service is also the easiest thing in the world, and you have signed a contract that says you will maintain the service schedule or lose your warranty. Not that you will maintain your service schedule if your car tells you to. That's a silly fight to pick. I have never heard of Lucid actually voiding anyone's warranty for missing the service date, but still, if something goes wrong it is only yourself you're hurting by not taking it in.
