So is this only for pre-2025 vehicles? Or does it only show up if you have a service center to go to (so not Denver)
Nearly every phone today. They increase in specs, camera megapixels, or whatever, but form factor has largely remained the same (fold phones excepted). What? Every new phone comes with what's new in that version. When did you bought a phone that didn't had a new feature, upgrade or functionality?
OS has nothing to do with a hardware upgrade. Manufacturers release hardware upgrades annually for phones and computers. Software to utilize those new capabilities does not always come at the same time. When did Apple launched a new version of the product that didn't had new capability or pitched an OS upgrade without new capability.
So that 20 dollar fan is now the single point of failure...The first image shows the old unit, which used passive cooling, while the second image shows the new unit with an added fan for active cooling.
The replacement was done by a Lucid Mobile Service technician and took about 2 hours to complete.View attachment 31184View attachment 31185
Looks like there’s a heatsink, too.The first image shows the old unit, which used passive cooling, while the second image shows the new unit with an added fan for active cooling.

I think I read here that the CCC module is in the passenger footwell, not behind the cockpit panel.I would be interested in know if the cockpit panel runs hotter after the upgrade.
Exactly. Using a sealed bearing. Heat sink fans generally stopped failing when they stopped using the garbage bronze bearing.Looks like there’s a heatsink, too.
A high-end CPU fan can last 100,000 hours, outlasting the car.
It will fail when V3 comes outSo that 20 dollar fan is now the single point of failure...
I had my CCC v2 installed yesterday….i had to go trough all programming again (profil, seats ajustements, reinstall Spotify with Car Play, Homelink etc). Then what is the difference, -1400$ cad in my pocket and more memory for future updates that are unknown so far. !!!!Hello,
I have my appointment for the CCC V2 update of my 2023 Air Touring in Montreal this Thursday, July 31st. Here, Service Director Rennie confirms that this update can only be done at Lucid. We need to allow for 3 hours of work. I am the first to receive this physical update at our Lucid dealership in Montreal. I really look forward to seeing the result, although I’m a bit anxious about being the first.
Should I be worried?
Elon knows how to sell using HHF ( Hope, Hype and Fear), but LUCID is missing this big time. They lack selling the Hope of a better working car, Hype for something unique or most anticipated, and lastly FOMO.I had my CCC v2 installed yesterday….i had to go trough all programming again (profil, seats ajustements, reinstall Spotify with Car Play, Homelink etc). Then what is the difference, -1400$ cad in my pocket and more memory for future updates that are unknown so far. !!!!
Did you notice a difference in camera responsiveness? Navigation?I had my CCC v2 installed yesterday….i had to go trough all programming again (profil, seats ajustements, reinstall Spotify with Car Play, Homelink etc). Nobody forced you to buy it, and they haven’t said it is for future updates. Your only expectation should be that things are snappier and faster in general.I had my CCC v2 installed yesterday….i had to go trough all programming again (profil, seats ajustements, reinstall Spotify with Car Play, Homelink etc). Both of mine are supposed to be delivered today. Dang Fed-Ex is slower than a Lucid OTA update!
