I really like the Air and think the software has come a long way. There are very minor issues/glitches every now and then, but this is consistent with all major car brands I've ever owned.
Earlier in ownership, when the keys were far less reliable, it was incredibly frustrating to see Lucid take so painstakingly long to fix the issue, which put a bad taste in my mouth (along with many others). Fortunately, at least with the Air, we're largely over the hump with most software issues, so the currently positive ownership experience can only get better.
This is the good thing about software-defined vehicles and is why, if I were buying a Gravity now, I wouldn't be worried despite all the software issues people are reporting. People like to point to the Air and raise concerns about how long it took for it to get a stable software experience, but the truth is, Lucid was a far younger, leaner team at the time. I wouldn't be surprised if things were very well put together by the end of May 2026.
