Picked up my Pure RWD yesterday and put the winter tires on today.

For (aftermarket) wheel/tire selection, I was looking for simplicity:
1. Wanted to use the factory lug nuts so I don't need to keep a set of 'tuner lugs' that always seem to rust.
2. TPMS - Cloned w/ the factory set. (Autel MX Sensor (programmable) that I have used with many different cars over the years)
3. No spacers, no center hub rings .

This is what I ended up with ---
1. Fast Wheels EV01+ 5x120, ET37, 19x8.5", CB 64.1, Flow formed, Aero blades.
I have used Fast Wheels for winter wheels on other cars and they have held up well, direct fit using factory lug nuts.
2. Autel MX Sensors, programmed (cloned) with the factory wheels.
Only catch I noticed here is the Autel Handheld scanner seemed to need extra time capturing the data from the OE sensors. I'm curious whether the new sensors are lower power.....

I swapped the tires after the TPMS sensors were programmed. Lucid has a menu option under settings to allow you to switch to 19" wheels. I then drove around the block and the sensors were now showing the updated tire pressures (19" tire pressures are higher)

You don't even need to clone the TPMS. I just threw a set of ebay TPMS onto winter tires and the car picked them up after a mile of driving.

Service manager mentioned that -- I assume you'd still need to change the wheel size in settings (if different from your summer wheels).

How long did it take to register the new sensors? With the cloned set, the updated PSI was displayed very quickly.

The Autel multi sensors have dropped in price over the last few years. I picked up the set locally in Toronto, $110CDN for the set.

Almost immediately - 1 mile.

Hey, does this method work? I'm buying some 19" winter tires and want to swap-out my 21's for the season: (the 19's are from another vehicle)
Reset the TPMS yourself
You can reset the TPMS by following the prompts on the Pilot Panel:

  1. Park the vehicle with the power on

  2. Press the Home button on the touch screen

  3. Touch Vehicle Settings

  4. Touch TPMS Calibration

  5. Select Calibrate

  6. The calibration process will finish automatically within a few miles of driving

I don't see this option in my Pure.

I only see an option under Tires to select Tire Size.

Yeah, I think you're right. No option. Not sure if it pops-up when new tires are installed or not.

I spoke to one of the techs and they said to keep the original tires far enough away from the car when you put the new ones on and it should calibrate the TPMS automatically after you select the tire size. This process might take a few minutes. If this doesn't work, they use a digital tool. I'll let you know how it goes this week for me!

I had them installed today from the DE 21". Car recognized them after driving 1 mile. I had selected 19" "All Season" (there was no winter option) after installation and before heading-out.
Easy-peasy, lemon-squeezy.
My tire place charged me $40 for the swap and balance.

Good deal. Nobody will swap up here at that price.
Well, it's my local Colorado "shade tree" tire shop that's been in business for like 45 years. On a more sour note, I still haven't been able to get any Lucid service to do anything yet. I did get a hold of one guy in Seattle who essentially told me to "do it myself".. so I did.

Your username suggests Canada, so you have world-famous "Canadian Tire", don't you? I mean, that's a cultural phenomenon for you guys! You could even have a hot cup of Timmy's and chomp on a bear-claw while you wait, listening to Rush.

ha! Yes, I'm in Toronto. Canadian Tire won't be swapping any wheels over for $40! In my experience Canadian Tire is famous for over torquing wheels. I won't let them touch any of my vehicles... ever.

Don't forget the poutine and beaver tail to go with the Timmy's Double Double.

I spent a few years in at the Billy Bishop Building at CFB Winnipeg for NORAD. Getting screeched-in to Stompin' Tom Connors' music with a slicker and kissing a cod is.. an experience. They were lacking the props but made up their own Newfie certificate for me.

That's great - I've done work in Newfoundland - super friendly people out there.

Getting Screeched in Newfoundland - To get screeched in, one must listen to the barkeep’s pomp, drink a shot of screech, and then kiss a cod on the mouth

Newfies are a breed of their own, for sure. Trailer Park Boys may be a fine example. Hobo with a Shotgun was filmed in Halifax. I bet Quint from Jaws prefered the bars there.
If I remember correctly, Screech is rum with sea-water because the rum-runners from Jamaica would drink half of it enroute up the coast to Newfoundland, and replace the loss with it so they'd get paid in full. Delicious.
I can't find any sweet, sweet Screech here, but when I find it, I'm going to buy a case and sing "Man Moon Newfie" till I pass out (as is tradition).

Er..

Anyway, off topic a bit, but the tires'll figure themselves out as long as you select "19" under Settings / Vehicle / Tires and bingo. Helps if the original tires are at least 20 feet away.
