WHERE ARE YOUR COMPLAINTS

does this mean the gravity is now buyable as a normal modestly bug free car?
No, Gravity is not and will never be a normal car.
I live in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, where CA-50 is 4 lanes wide and has a fairly rapid elevation climb around El Dorado Hills area.
It's just not normal for a large family SUV to effortlessly fly up the hill in the fast lane at 80-90 mph leaving behind those poor gas guzzlers struggling for oxygen, and even most other EVs.
I just can't get enough of this breathtaking silent and immediate power at the tip of my foot. It is not normal.
:p ;)👍🤯

I still get a a lot of "Sensors Blocked" alerts, most often at night. Is that still a regular occurrence for others?
I do too, however most often when I am in traffic. Like another member hypothesized, I think when certain sensors can't see enough around themselves (yes, an anthropomorphism) due to proximity of traffic, they consider themselves (yep, another one) unusable for safety purposes. As soon as traffic begins moving, the error clear itself and it considers itself ready to monitor and do its job.

Lucid Gravity owner since September here experiencing the car not starting or rebooting for the second time, after multiple miscellaneous error messages and reboots along the way. (It had to be towed to the Tysons Corner, VA, shop the first time this happened.) I tried contacting Roadside Assistance via the app button in the Help section, but that connects with Customer Care outside of regular business hours. A Google search for 'Lucid roadside assistance phone number' generates a (888)995-5824 number, which connects, but doesn't ring and eventually hangs up after about 2.5 minutes. Now my morning is wrecked, because I have to wait for Customer Care to open in an hour then go through the trouble shooting process again. After all the issues we've had in just three months, I'd return this car today if I could.

Yes, all the time, so much that I don't even care anymore, it's just a background noise.
I suspect it's related to fogging under the glass inside the sensor unit as our temps drop quickly at night and we take short drives out of warm garage.
Not sure when and how Lucid will fix this, all I want now is to suppress and silence the annoying messages.
Not just fogging but also when you stop and have a car pull up behind you at night I'm pretty sure the headlights momentarily confuse the rear camera. Pretty much every time I'm at a stop light and someone pulls behind me in a taller vehicle I get the "sensors blocked" message.

They have fixed the vast majority of the big bugs.
What remains is primarily a bunch of minor annoyances that go away after a few seconds or a reboot... they are still annoying but we're sufficiently used to them that we don't complain about them individually.
In our case it feels like there are still 20-30 significant issues or promised features that are missing that do affect us, but each of them is rare enough that no one issue dominates.
We are still having to reboot about once per day.

For us the most common one is getting stuck on the following boot screen... we can drive out of the garage while stuck like that but we can't close the garage door. This happens at least once per week for us. A reboot fixes it.

We've been having the speed limit display losing data...just displaying "--" instead of the speed limit in areas it knows well...both on city streets and highways. Sometimes when crossing a speed change it will display for a moment and then back to "--".

A reboot clears the issue, but it may return on the same trip or a later trip.

This is on 3.3.20.

I have a complaint- the car isn't free
Whew.
Now the fix for that may never become available.
Salvage yard will see you a cheap one though.

Have had that happen 3 times on the same day (3 different drives). Haven't seen it since. (3.3.20). The next day was over at the Tysons SC and after parking and locking the car went inside. Made a appointment, came out started car and no internet. Car wanted to connect to Casa Grande wifi??. Drive home (30 mins) and no cellular the whole way. Got home locked car, then unlocked and low and behold cellular and internet. Go figure. Other than these few things car has been bug free.

Picked up our Gravity a few days ago after two weeks at Lucid's Tysons Corner service center--this time for diagnosis of the 'hold' function failing and the car rolling on in/declines without a foot on the brake. Service rep claimed this newest software update should have resolved all the issues (20 documented errors/malfunctions so far since 10/1/25), only to have the rear sensor continuously beep and the hard reboot function not work the very next day. Had to park the vehicle and wait an hour for the beeping to resolve itself.

We requested that our lease be terminated a month ago, but the service rep who is tracking our case won't return my status inquiries. Was hoping for a resolution without legal action, but I can see where this might be headed.

The rear beep I’ve gotten once or twice; seems to be a bug they haven’t resolved yet. Not unique to your vehicle.

When you say the hard reboot didn’t work, how long did you hold it? 10 seconds is a soft reboot of just infotainment; 20 seconds is a hard reboot.

30 seconds

The majority of your issues appear to be what the rest of us have been experiencing over the last 8 months, just random false alerts that disappear depending on the cars mood. 2 weeks also seems to be the norm for any type of repair being done to vehicles because the Service Centers appear to be overwhelmed. From your spreadsheet and post if looks like your car has been in twice for physical work. I'd be surprised if you got out of the lease based on that alone, I really don't know in this day and age if buggy software falls into lemon law territory.

I went after VW Group for software bugs in the e-Tron that existed for years along with a bunch of promises broken on what they were going to deliver to the car via software and was basically to to go pound sand. Not dismissing your issues but also not sure annoyances (bugs) will get you anywhere on a legal argument. Could be wrong.

Since my last post a couple of weeks ago, the car will no longer charge at the scheduled time (01:00 AM) despite Lucid pushing out a 'fix'. Now the driver's side window won't stay closed. When I pull up on the window control button, the glass raises all the way, but then immediately lowers again to about the halfway point. Customer Care quickly identified this as a problem only a mobile tech could remedy, but still unsure of when that'll happen.

Unbelievable...in less than five months, I've reported to Lucid 25 documented faults/errors and counting, and it's been in service for 21 days. When interested people ask me how I like my Gravity, I just have to laugh.

I've never experienced that one. Might be fixable. I'm more likely to get sensor blocked with oncoming headlights or driving into the sunset.

That's one I've never seen. I've had completely black screens once. I haven't had to reboot the car in a few weeks. Funny how different people's experiences are with the same vehicle. Ours was a December 1st build.

I've been wondering if we might be starting to see some patch-over-patch messiness in the operating system. Has anyone tried resetting to factory specs and then letting it download just the most recent patch? We used to do that from time to time on our PCs which inevitably cleared up general wonkiness.

Has to be out of your service, and in their possesion, documented, for at least 30 days (in most states). In your case its just the usual string of annoying Lucid issues.

I'm aware, thanks, but please clarify "out of your service." It's been in service--in Lucid's possession-- for 21 days/nights so far.

Your camera and/or sensors might be angled incorrectly, perhaps?

“In service” is a synonym for what he meant.

Lemon law eligibility in CA (one of these must be true, in the first 18 mos/18k mi):
1. The manufacturer or dealer has not fixed the same problem after four or more attempts.
2. Your vehicle’s problems could cause death or serious bodily injury if it is driven, and the manufacturer or dealer has made at least two unsuccessful repair attempts.
3. The vehicle has been in the shop for more than 30 days (not necessarily in a row) for repair of any problems covered by its warranty.

Other states have other laws, so do your own research.

I would always highly recommend working with any manufacturer rather than going through the legal process, in general; has nothing to do with Lucid, and more that manufacturers have options as to how they can make things right. But once legal is involved, those options go out the window.

If you’re at the end of your rope and nobody’s cooperating, different story.
