Watch out when sending a destination from Google Maps on your phone to your car

Yes. Sharing a location to lucid from google maps is totally a hit or miss. Try navigating to costco Fremont or trader Joe's Fremont or city sport Fremont if you are in the bay area. It will ask you to park where you cannot behind the location. I don't think that the coordinates are sent.
Is anyone having trouble sending an address to the Lucid from the app? All addresses sent to car have failed over the two months.

Same. But I don't send often enough to know if consistent failure. I just know that there is a very good chance it doesn't work

Actually today it just tells me directions are not available to this destination to every address I put in. I dont use the on board nav for any vehicle since they tend to be pretty awful anyway.

I send from Apple Maps quite frequently. It is significantly better since its debut. I have about a 90% success rate on the first attempt. And it’s almost instant from share to appearing on the screen of the car. I haven’t tried from Google Maps in a long time.

Oh wow. Didn't know I could do that. Just sent the address through Google maps. App said it worked. Will report back.

Carefully check where the car plans to take you. In my experience, the car frequently tries to take me to the center of the city rather than the destination. It's happened at least three times of the last ten or so.

Our other EV, which has native Google Maps, never makes mistakes like these.

Lucid app says sent but it does not get to the car. Use to work reliably but has been a failure in last couple of months.

Sometimes I find the just-sent destination by scrolling through the suggested destinations on the cockpit panel.

I looked there but there was no address. Just sent an address to car from Apple Maps on my iphone. The address showed up on the cockpit panel. Also the last two failed addresses sent form Lucid app showed up listed after the address from Apple Maps. In the past I think I got a notification in the car when address was received and was asked if I wanted to navigate to the address. I guess I need to remember to use Apple Maps from now on.

With android users left behind. To be blunt, I don't enjoy Lucid reliably making me feel like a second class citizen. It's the only reason I'm considering the Polestar 3 over Gravity.

Sorry, @DeaneG. I mentioned the Apple Maps recommendation in your Google Maps thread. I simply defaulted to the most reliable option I discovered, which unfortunately isn’t accessible to everyone.

Fyi sending from Google maps didn't work for me. I'm having some general issues with Lane change, auto park, seat homing- not sure if this is all related, but car goes in for service on the 2nd so I'll hopefully get them to review everything.

No worries, I'm glad you posted.

That’s sad. Hopefully when AA hits the car you change your mind. Does seem the ball is currently in Googles court for AA but doesn’t excuse the fact how late Lucid was to actually get it ready for cars.

I'll have to try this again. I don't think I've sent a destination from Google Maps, but have sent a few from the Lucid app, and they have always gotten to the car.

Right now, pretty much the only thing Android users can do is send a destination from Lucid's own phone app, for destinations that HERE maps has in its comparatively limited database.

This is not their first attempt. Their first attempt was thwarted by “reasons,” caused largely by the big G, and this is their second attempt. No conspiracy, just not reasons I can disclose; and no conspiracy against Lucid by G either. Just incredibly unfortunate timing.

Lucid hasn’t been ignoring AA. It’s just been a pain. Suffice it to say that Lucid will be incredibly freaking glad once it’s in the damn cars.
