UX Suggestion re: forgotten key

It did not. If it had, I wouldn't have started this thread. I assumed it only asked for the PIN if you used the card.
Yeah, I was asking out of curiosity, not as a “gotcha” :)

Thanks. tbh, this really is a UX issue, but it's a pretty minor one. What's interesting to me is that the engineers have the ability to think outside the box here. From Pet Comfort Mode, we know they have the ability to replace the screen with a giant message. Seems to me like someone trying to put the car in gear and being thwarted by keylessness might be a good reason to use that banner message capability, since without the key not much else on the dash is going to matter very much. Barring that, a message in the same place that the "seat is moving" message appears would work fine. I was just trying to be helpful while poking more than a little fun at myself.
I get a "key not detected" message. Seems UX is running correctly.

Perhaps if we all write to NHTSA claiming we shouldn't be able to get in the car without a key fob... 🤣

No harm intended - this thread just reminds me of another recent self-induced waste of my time. Hey, maybe we write NHTSA that my computer allows me to read too much useless information that I don't have as much time to spend in my very cool Lucid! Now, THAT is something I can get my head around!

@greylock - now that you are not rushing to an appointment, have you tried to replicate the incident while looking for a pop up? I have an Air and always get the warning "No key found" but it maybe different for the Gravity.

Just tried... if someone sees any kind of warning, let me know. Apologies for not fastening my seatbelt, explaining the warning light that is lit. Photo taken while trying to put the car in reverse without the key.

Wait that’s the first time I’ve seen the dash close enough to see it has PRND like an automatic. Interesting way to make driving one more “normal “

Even more confusing that the “Ready” light is fully lit green. It shouldn’t be.
