Lucid just announced UX 2.5 will start rolling out this week. Very exciting!

Two features are announced in the X thread; SSP improvements and curb rash protection. Hopefully more minor improvements once we start getting the update.

Only upgrades for SSP? I would hope plebs like me with just surreal sound get some improvements too.

I'm sure there's a lot more. If it was just improvements to the sound system or camera stuff, it would be an update, not a whole new UX.

Also getting curb rash protect

during the lucid event a couple of week ago they made mention about the increased bass response for SSP. What they were not able to elaborate that on some models they have to do a modification to it for free... what model years etc. We are new to Lucid, they said customer service would email those who needs it.... how reliable is that?....

While I am curious as to what all the audio updates entail, I am most interested in the Regen off option. Does this mean no regen braking at all with the application of the brake pedal, or does it only mean no regen after lifting off the accelerator?

It might be TSB-B1122-001-01, since it involves a hardware fix for a known issue with the lower front speakers bass response...
Cause: The fabric tape covering up the holes on the body are acting like a speaker diaphragm.
Corrections: Remove the fabric tape from the body and replace it with a low-density butyl pad.

My mind didn't even go in that direction. That sounds equally likely. Guess we will have to wait and see.

There is a specific subset of cars this applies to. The folks had a trial period because the equipment was already installed, but Lucid wanted to move vehicles and likely test conversion rates. Sounds like they will get the upgrade after all for free.
From a customer sat perspective alone, I highly doubt that this speculation is correct.

Deleted after further thought. You are right. No need to stir the pot on a ridiculous idea.

I had the same fix, bought the car and immediately noticed poor sound quality coming from the front speakers. Brought the car in for service, they fixed it and gave me the same description as yours. Afterwards it sounds 10 times better than before.

Weird thing is the loaner GT that they gave me also had the same speakers problem and so I thought there must be a handful of Air that was plagued with this problem.

No regen at all even with brake pedal applied.

While I don't know if these lower front speakers are only installed with SSP, my guess is that every Air that has the pre-fix speakers also has (or had) this problem. No doubt the fix was implemented during manufacturing once it became a known issue, with the TSB coming out for the rest. I think it came out roughly six months ago.
