Unable To Place Order For Gravity (2027 Model Coming?)

Interestingly, I had mobile look at my second row seat today. I was subsequently schedule for a service center visit, and told the seats would be replaced. I was also told the seats are on back order until end of April.
I'll have to reach back out to our service hub then and see if they have a date on when they're going to come take mine. To those doubting the 2nd row seat issue, my Dream is apparently one of the ones affected by this and I get why they're worried but quiet:

They told me within days of that incident that a new motor system for the seat was coming, so they've known since at least early to mid January that they needed to make changes. Mine can't have been the first one to have some sort of overheat issue or corporate wouldn't have been so quick to identify it as the motor and what the fix would be/tell me a course of action when they hadn't seen anything other than a brief video of the smoke at that point.

FWIW, got the "Inventory is large enough to shut ordering down" message from two sales people, yesterday. They weren't corroborating the "seats" narrative. I was reminded cars yet to be VIN'd do not appear on web searches, and encouraged to bring in my configuration. A couple cars not on the website were close, but, for instance, color choice had to be almost wide open in order to get within $1-3k. YMMV

Uh oh

Did anyone get a new Gravity delivered in the last few weeks

Anyone else notice when you're on the Lucid website and click on Available Gravitys, the page crashes and goes to the text of the footnotes? This has been going on for days. Not a good look for a company that's trying to live down a rep for tech glitches.

uh oh,

wait... actually I just tried it and it gives me a normal list of available GGT's with a percentage match of the design I configured
Maybe they fixed it?

It used to link to the Available Airs. Not an improvement. Lucid's website needs a rework, as many of the links only refer to Air.

There is one button on the bottom of the configurator that will display a truncated list. All the other ways to see cars in inventory seem to crash for me -- on all three devices btw

Very annoying no word on when they’ll allow design orders.

Said earliest by end of last week. But I also wonder if he meant they’ll start deliveries not necessarily new design orders (vs. available vehicles).

Do you know anyone who took delivery since last week?

I don’t. I gave you a thumbs up on your FB post because I was glad you asked the question, not because I knew someone. Sorry if that caused confusion.

I am really losing faith in the company at this point. There’s still no news on new deliveries, and the service centers are completely backed up with defective cars. It’s hard to see how this is sustainable.

My plan was to wait till end of Feb and place my order thinking I’ll get it around June, hopefully when all the defects were worked out.

i just looked (MacOs, Brave browser), and no matter what I clicked it does say "nothing matches your search" but then gives a list of available inventory

Just looked today, I was able to see the matched inventory and able to see the monthly payments.

The website is working fine for me.

I wonder if something more is going on. Very odd for a car company to remove the ability to special order outside of inventory. With investor day approaching, maybe due to financial reasons they’ve paused building new vehicles. Purely speculating.

I suppose we'll know more in 9 days.
