Tyson's Corner - They're Making Me Beg Them To Give Them My Money

you're perplexed that Lucid fumbled something easy? Come on. These guys have a track record of failure.
They also have a track record of winning just about every automotive award.

Aren’t generalizations fun

Come on, even you know that’s not true……agree, execution isn’t perfect, but which company is?

Even Apple made mistakes, has bugs in software, releases bug fixes, and it is a 3.6 trillion dollar company. Lucid is just a 3 billion dollar company.

Yea I saw that. The challenge is that there are no cars that come even close to what I want. Funny thing is there were two and when I went to do it, they told me each time that they’re gone. I had assumed if I’m talking to a sales person about a car, that they’d hold it for 24 hours so I could get it done. Honestly, this is how I was treated by Tesla and I’m starting to get those vibes from Lucid. I told them I flew from my home to Boston just to see one three years ago (that resulted in gen Air) and seemingly, that has not meant much to them. Maybe I’m just a number now.
Not sure if this applies still but when i leased 2 years ago, i ended up flying to chicago from austin and drove her back. Saved 5k back then.
My Air lease is up soon and I am interested in a Gravity. I have communicated that to two sales people at the closest Lucid showroom in Tysons Corner, VA. I have been exceptionally transparent with them and told them along the way my timeline. Every time they've called, I have answered and never given them the runaround, Shared that I will make my decision middle of this week. I have even chosen an available Gravity in their lineup and communicated that to two different sales people. To date, over the last two weeks, they don't return calls, rarely reply to emails and texts, don't call when they promise, and have left me entirely baffled. I feel like they are making me beg them so I can give them my money. All the effort is mine to keep me in their vehicles. This was exactly what Tesla did, which is why I left the brand. I
If you still need a contact for a sale let me know. I’m looking and was called back immediately.

I am an early adapter to Lucid and leased my Air when it was outrageously priced. You'd think I'd be treated better and I am not sure what to do. Any advice?
Potential new buyer here, and that location is doing the exact same thing to me! Has to be the worst sales team in the car business. I left VM with two sales people, got a return call by one, they said that someone else (forgot the name) would call me right back. It's been 10 days since that call. I'm giving one last chance, going online to set up an appt for a test drive, assuming that they will call me the day before to confirm, at which point I'll ask them if they really do have assigned sales people per customer. Do they even want to make a sale?

It makes me wonder, given that they don't get commission like normal sales people, what is their motivation to make the effort to get a sale? Are they particularly well paid? It is it one of those "work just hard enough to not get fired" kind of deals?

I second your frustration. Tysons Corner, VA does not look like they care about their customers. New to Lucid and had issue that needed to be addressed. I have been calling to have service done for 3 weeks. Now I am regrating my decision. Lucid need to get on top of their center's response to owners. If they are not taking care of existing customers, then how are they going to attract new once. For me this left a bitter test and would not recommend getting Lucid based on their treatment (luck of attention) of their customers no matter how good the car is.

Lindsley is the only one to deal with at Tyson’s. He works at the studio not Galleria and ran circles around the others.

He’s out for a bit for his wedding but if you need a real person, skip the rest.

That said, a call to Galleria to find out why they haven’t paid off my Tesla trade was supposed to be returned by his boss Muhammad but two days later…I’ll be driving by in person if not done tomorrow (16 days later). @marqie

I wish I had went with my gut feeling when I went through this same crap-because it doesn't get better. Hope you don't have a problem afterwards.

I read that they are base plus commission, but their base got cut in half and everyone is quitting.

I think Erwin Raphael will be the next executive who will be leaving "to seek new opportunities"...

So many threads here reflect problems under his umbrella - sales and service.

Just my two pennies worth...

I ordered my AGT online and it was delivered to my house three years ago in New England. I moved to VA a couple of years ago and tried to arrange a mobile service visitg at the number on the Lucid app, which connected me to Tyson's Corner. Th eperson I spoke with was a sales associate and was arrogant and rude. I found the number for the temporary service center nearest me, about 45 minutes away, and have had a good experience with them for both mobile and the SC visit for my 24k mile service. I would avoid Tyson's Corner and order online if I want another Lucid. Life is too short to spend any time with rude people.

Two months later and they’re no better. I go days with no response to what I feel are simple questions. Email, text, phone calls - all the same. I’m also 4 hours away so I need to arrange transportation or go get it myself. Their transport option was almost $1000! At this point, it looks like I have to take a day off work to fly there, finalize the deal, and drive it home.

I’ve wanted a Lucid badly for the last year or so. Not a great start for what I’m hoping isn’t a bad car that needs a lot of maintenance and the company still exists in a year. 😔🤬
