This is getting serious. DD Pro thinks the dotted line is the center of the lane.

2025 Lucid Air GT
I've posted on other threads, but wanted to start this up to see if anyone else is having the same issue with their 2025 Air GT w/ DD Pro... because it got very serious today to the point of where I need to speak to Lucid legal dept. I just got the car back from service over a week ago where all cameras were calibrated/replaced and have not had a chance to try Drive Assist.. today I did, and nearly caused a massive accident on Highway 101. I am able to re-create the event 100% of the time.

On a very clear stretch of highway 101, with clear lane markings.. I activated Drive Assist.. as soon as I hit the button on the wheel, the wheel immediately jerked hard to the right, sending the car rapidly into the right lane where the person in that lane behind me nearly drove off the highway. I instantly overrode the system by grabbing the wheel to pull me back into my lane.. as soon as I let go of the wheel, the car again jerked hard into the rt lane, eventually settling on driving on the dotted line, taking up two lanes. Pulled over and did a walk around of the the car. No cameras blocked. Tried it again when I had no cars around me, and the car repeated exactly as it did before. Every time, the car wants to ride on the dotted lines between two lanes.

Has anyone ever seen this? I'm chatting w/ my tech at Millbrae.. so they're aware... but good golly...this a waste of $7k for DD Pro.

There is something wrong with your car. This is not normal and I’ve never seen it happen. Have you had service check it out? Perhaps it needs a recalibration, or a wheel balance…

Almost seems like when the service team recalibrated your cameras they inadvertently set the “zero point” on the line of a line rather than between two lines!!

Actually, I received my car from service and it’s doing the exact same thing but it’s pulling towards left. Spoke to SC and she said my cameras need to re-calibrated. I’m hopeful, this will fix the issue for me. Will provide an update once I get a service appointment.

**update... mobile tech coming today. *should also note that my steering wheel was replaced on Monday, but was told that it should have no effect on DD. Hmm.

Sorry, I meant to say that I’ve never seen this before as “normal or intended behavior.” There have definitely been times when something was needed to fix it.

Mine used to do that and I had to have my wheels rebalanced.

I have experienced similar hard left jerks on drive assist, with both pre-2.6 and post 2.6. This has made me apprehensive on using the system in heavy traffic. Otherwise it’s a constant battle to fight the steering wheel whenever the jerks are experienced. One thing to note I did experience yesterday was the in standstill traffic on the freeway I noticed the system turning the wheels left and right, which when barely moving is a non issue but on freeway speeds can be dangerous. Until there is a consensus that the problem is solved I prefer not to engage drive assist.

Ask service to drive assist the same stretch of highway after it is fixed.

I wish that Lucid vehicles get the comma open pilot support. There seems to be some good progress in supporting Rivian recently. It will be amazing if Lucid also gets it somehow. If I am not wrong, openpilot support can even enable the vehicles with base DD to be able to do lane-centering.

It's not a hands off driving system.

This is a problem with your car. This is not a thing that happens in cars that are properly calibrated, etc.

The fact is that there is something wrong with your vehicle and you need to have service fix it.

Drive Assist does not jerk in any direction, and it should not be jittering or turning the wheels at low speeds, etc.

UPDATE: mobile tech just left. Car needs to go to Millbrae (again) to have all cameras calibrated (again). On way home, I recreated the event on three different spots on 101.. failed each time. (Made sure you was clear f others) The last time, it drove me across 3(!) lanes and had I not taken control back, the car was rapidly aiming to exit the highway and shoot me up the Sausalito hillside to the cacophony of horns behind me.

I was told by the tech to (obviously) not use DD for drive assist. Car goes back to Millbrae next week.

So Lucid now has FSD .... Lousy that you're having to deal with this.

It will get fixed. Not fun, but unusual.

Not to hijack, but this is as good a place as any to ask:
When stopped behind traffic with Drive Assist engaged, my steering wheel will occasionally slowly saw back-and-forth 10 or 15 degrees off-center.
Drive Assist otherwise functions as intended, best I can tell.
Is that normal behavior?

**UPDATE #2. !!!! Soooo…. On way home just now, I noticed that my steering wheel is cocked to the left when I was driving straight. To add spice into my life, I corrected the wheel, and off I went into the rt lane. Much fun was had. Contacted SC, aaaaand…. Guess what!

2.6.0 that fixed the camera issues.. introduced alignment issues with A LOT of cars that just had cameras calibrated. Weeeee!

I laugh.

But we’ll get it fixed when the car goes back to the SC again this week. :)

Enjoy this new clip I just sent to Lucid.

This happened to me as well. I use Highway assist often because it works so well. I got the update two days ago and tried Drive Assist for the first time today. It was the middle of the day on highway 95 which is usually extremely busy but wasn't this afternoon. My AGT rode between two lanes as well before my quickly taking over. Again, Highway Assist worked perfectly before the update.

Yeah I’ve had that happen. I think it’s normal as I had this behavior happen on a previous Audi driver assistance system and Tesla also.

I don't agree that there is something wrong with the car. My vehicle has not had any issues with Drive Assist until the 2.60 update. I don't let the car adjust the lane centering. I have noticed that since the update, if I turn on Drive Assist, the cockpit shows me riding the center line when I am in fact centered in my lane. There is something wrong with the update. not with the hardware.

That’s possible. I may have been too quick to jump the gun. Every time we’ve seen this before, it’s been the car, but it appears that perhaps some sensor calibrations or something else were messed with on 2.6.0 for some cars.

So I take that back; it may or may not be the car, but it’s probably the update in this case. First time for everything!
