Stock price of Lucid

Wasn’t this mostly fixed? Many Gravity owners have been posting in social media that their car software is very reliable after latest update.
I sure have not been reading that. Even hmp10 has constant software issues on his two Gravities. Just based on he has been saying make me reluctant to purchase a Lucid, even though I would like too. Sure hope Lucid gets this turned around. And then there are the service appointment issues and long waits just to get things fixed.

No, it's not. Go check the 3.5.1 update thread, and you'll find several owners with this problem receding and returning repeatedly and also with an increase in other problems since the update. I don't want to turn this thread into that discussion, but if Lucid releases a third model with this problem they're toast.

I have invested quite a bit of money in Lucid stock, but at this point I won't put another dime in it until they show themselves able to launch a product that works reliably and also doesn't drown the company in warranty work.

I was reading Reddit posts. Maybe a few mentioned issues but most don’t.

Easy to trash a company when stock price is down, isn’t it folks! I’m looking at the bigger picture many years down the line. Cars are magnificent! Sales will come.

The same batch of negative posters make their way over here. Not sure why they even come here to post.

If you hate the company so much why post here everyday?

In all seriousness, Lucid has a 135k order backlog to fulfill. I’m an investor and not concerned about the longevity of the company. However, the mid-size launch is crucial and if they repeat the same mistakes with that launch, that may be the final nail in the coffin.

Why do you think that everybody that posts negative comments hates the company? I'd love it if Lucid succeeds. But I am also a realist.

Thats what everyone thinks of about themselves....i'm a realist.....

I have my own alternative reality.

Here is my alternative reality- PIF averaging down their investments. They so far committed 9.5 billion, their investment value is now 1.2 billion. As stock is going down, they are averaging down as well. Makes sense for them since they are not trading, it is a longterm investment. As long as they continue to support, Lucid will be fine. And I'm 99% sure they wont stop supporting. They just need to get to the midsize and everyone will start going gaga again....maybe not everyone, some will never give credit when due.

I wish you had to own a car to own the stock. That would be interesting.

Institutional shareholders have 75% of LCID. Can you imagine any car company making that a requirement?

Remember - Tesla had a million reservations for the Cybertruck. That 135k order backlog is not real - those are just refundable deposits that might never materialize into a sale.

100k order is a joke. I think they didnt even bye around 5k until today.

Definitely seems a lot of investors have given up on this stock. It's a shame because it seems a bit early to be making that call, but can't blame folks who have seen the stock decline with seemingly no end in sight.

Jaguar did not go down because of Waymo. Waymo only bought 3500 vehicles. Jaguar went belly up because their ICE vehicles couldn’t compete with the German luxury cars.

And ICE cars won’t work for robotaxis! Lucid with superior efficiency makes a lot is sense for robotaxis.

If you even get 10% more efficiency, money saved adds up significantly.

Look at Waymo, 2 million miles per week with just 3000 vehicles.

Just say you can go an extra 30 miles, with the same battery size, Waymo makes $2 per mile average. That’s $60 a day saving for each Lucid.

$60 x 300 to account for weather, maintenance is $18000 saving a year.

It’s quite simple when you look at it and explains Ubers investment. Money saved adds up significantly.
I am not saying Jaguar went down because of Waymo. What I was getting at is:
> self-driving cars like Waymo and Uber will remain a very small factor for EVs in the next 5 years. Waymo has 1,200 iPace on hand and consumed about 2,500 units to date, a pitifully small number! Uber's projection is (I think) 25kU-30kU over 5-7 years(?). Again, Lucid can't survive on that. It is good PR, so long as Lucid can afford the distraction.
> for Lucid to stay relevant, it must participate in the mid-size market in a meaningful (i.e., financially profitable) way.

Shows you don’t know anything about the company.

100k Saudi Gov commitment, 35k Uber commitment.

This excludes sales to the public.

Come on, everyone knows it depends on the midsize to get profitable. You act as if I’m clueless about that.

well, Lucid's mid-size is 1-1-1/2 years later than competitors. And if the mid-size launch is like Air/Gravity, Yes, it will be too late!

They are buying mostly those that will be produced on Saudi. Not those made in USA. Why would Saudi Gov buy US made cars? I’m surprised how so many people here just post knee jerk responses as if they know everything.

The benefit will be enormous, at this market value, makes sense to me.

I think it’s already on the stone. A car that goes into production end of this year and they cant even show to the public yet 🤨 something is fishy.
