Spotify Issues?

How do we fix this then so only one version is running? Any idea?
No Idea. I'm going to assume with AA, the car is favoring AA instead of built-in. Personally the quality of the sound is worse with AA than built-in Spotify. I wish there was a way to default, but right now I'm accepting it's not possible. The fact that I have now have AA and I can avoid most of the built-in functionality, I'm happier with it. I live with poorer quality since I mainly listen to podcasts.

I apologize but what does AA stand for?

AA issues with this too. The pausing seems to have settled down, still happens but not constantly, but it doesn't recall where I was in my Playlist and I have to manually go back to the list and start from the top or scroll myself. Also doesn't start up automatically (I have to go back to Spotify home and select Liked and go from there).
I figured I would wait it out - things seem to sometimes resolve themselves (or the Lucid tech gremlins do something behind the scenes).

Yes same problem and I use Apple Car Play. The pausing seems to have died down for me, as well. But I have the same issue that when I get back in the car, Spotify never starts from where it left off and I have to manually start it again, too. Same issues there.

Things seem to sometimes resolve themselves even without an update: driving to a meeting the music wouldn't play, then coming out it started automatically. Sometimes texts appear on the screen, sometimes not. Sometimes I can touch the button to play the texts and it works, sometimes not. Sometimes it seems to sputter and work, sometimes not. Yesterday I couldn't get the navigation to work before the meeting either. The surround cameras glitched as well.

Full reboot?

Thanks for this suggestion. I did try a full reboot and we reset to factory and it did not fix the Spotify issues.

I've had this problem with Spotify stopping. It seems to be associated with the cell signal being weak. Instead of just pausing until the signal improves, it stops and requires me to hit the play button to continue. It didn't do this until about 60 days ago. Also, the advance button has changed from advancing 15 seconds to advancing to the next program.

I've had this issue with Spotify ever since the update to SW v 2.7. It doesn't matter if I'm using the native app or Spotify's iOS app via CarPlay...it frequently stops. Last week, after the update to SW v2.8.0, it not only stopped, but then got a mind of its own and starting jumping from song to song on the display, but never actually playing anything. I've tried the Air reset multiple times but to no avail. I saw the comment earlier about areas with weak cell service, but when playing through CarPlay, all of my playlists have been downloaded and are resident on my phone. So, unless it requires a live connection for some DRM related purpose, I don't think signal quality is a factor.

Has anyone else had Spotify issues last few weeks? It's very unresponsive, stops playing, won't go to the next selection when advancing from the wheel button, tells me I am signed out on the dash when on the computer screen tells me I am signed in? It doesn't work seamlessly like it has.
I have fixed the distortion / crackling with the steering wheel reset. On my Air Pure the turn signal sound even had distortion (LOL). It stabilizes after two steering wheel resets. I did a "factory reset" and had to do two steering wheel resets for the crackling / distortion after that and its been stable since.

The other spotify weirdness is that the row of spotify tiles on the home screen does not update. It works for Tidal but not Spotify. I've tried to remove the app credentials / logoff Spotify and log back in with no fix. I have a feeling that's an issue for everyone? I just have the DJ icon on the home screen for some reason.

attaching images of spotify vs tidal on the home screen.
