Software 3.3.20 Update

The in car navigation should only send you to compatible ones, otherwise you can check in the Tesla app or here https://www.tesla.com/findus for the address. The icons that have a lightning bolt are Tesla only, the ones that are the NACS connector are open to non-Tesla vehicles.
The Lucid app will also filter them for you.

Prior to 3.3.20 the phone app was far more accurate. The release notes for 3.3.20 seem to indicate they tried to make the in car map charging data more accurate, so time will tell. It definitely has more info about the chargers now in the car than 3.3.9.

A day of driving after 3.3.20 update this morning.

Zero false alerts. Drove exceptionally well (as usual). UI was smooth and a little quicker than before, but nothing super responsive as I saw on other videos.

Key fob still works perfectly and it charged at home on Tesla Universal wall charger with zero issues this evening.

I did see randomly that an incoming call had the wrong name on it on my top screen

The car felt amazing and at the same time, totally predictable, and stable. So far a great outcome. Hoping this lasts! Will assess efficiency change if any.

One day of 3.3.20

FOB seems more reliable. Previously had to be close and push more than once some of the time to get frunk to open.

Door handles present more quickly on approach

Screens boot up basically instantly

Still minor lag in switching between menus on the pilot screen. Unchanged.

Compatible Tesla super charger failed to charge which is new. Home charger works normally as it always has.

Hmm have any other users tried charging at at Tesla supercharger since the update? If so, any issues?

This was the kind of experience we had been having at Superchargers. Maybe it's just a coincidence that our charging issues occurred after the update, but other posters have reported similar charging issues since the update. Since so many of these bugs are random from car to car, it's just hard to figure out.

A mobile tech is scheduled to come out today to do a factory reset to deal with my corrupted driver profile. But given that we now have DreamDrive, charging, and audio source issues since the 3.3.20 update, I don't want to risk a factory reset as I have no idea what systems we'll be able to get back and reprogram after the reset. I've texted him that it may be futile to come out, but I haven't yet heard back.

Yesterday when we were taking delivery of the new Gravity, the Delivery Manager got in our first Gravity and saw for himself some of the malfunctions. He called Lucid HQ to have them open a service ticket to check our car out more thoroughly. I also asked him and the service team about the issue with not being able to listen to music when any two of our three Lucids are on the road at the same time. They had never heard of that problem but said they also don't know of any customers who drive multiple Lucids at the same time. Someone suggested what people on the forum have suggested -- that the problem may be that they're all on the same account. I asked if the new Gravity could be put on a separate account and they said probably not, since all the cars were bought under that account.
Wait...what?!!...they're just now checking out this tainted vehicle "more thoroughly"? Wow, c'mon Lucid. You can do better than this.

Here’s an example of my L2 charging issue with 3.3.20. Car charges up to target - then stops and won’t “top off” and throws the “Vehicle Not Charging” error. Lights on charge port become red, etc. Unplugging and replugging works less than half the time. Happens on both home chargers (different brands and circuits) and at other L2 chargers. Anyone else have this?

Yes and yes. But I did get it to work after it didn’t work on two stalls. So could have been the SC, but I don’t think it was.

Yes, we've had trouble using both Superchargers and Electrify America chargers since the 3.3.20 update. (I've had such a history with EA, though, that in normal circumstances I'd be more inclined to blame EA than Lucid.)

This is VERY concerning to me. One of the great steps forward with the Gravity over our Air was access to the Supercharger network as well as better charging curves at any DCFC-- something that had been working flawlessly since delivery of our Gravities.

But if Lucid doesn't even know how to keep this key feature stable when they do OTA updates for other issues . . . .

I agree. For as much as the “little bugs” have annoyed me, I’d be totally SOL if I arrived at an SC and just couldn’t charge. From day one, that has always worked for me and it’s a fundamental differentiator that “unlocks” the tremendous range and road trip capabilities of the Gravity. It worked last weekend too, but it took three tries. Can’t arrive with 10% SoC for now as I need a plan B.

Totally agree re: EA. My first inclination would have been to blame EA give. Prior experience. My issues last weekend were at Tesla SCs. As well, I’ve got this L2 issue I mentioned up thread.

We have been toying with the idea of a multi-week road trip come spring, maybe even cross-country. One of the contingencies was the progress Lucid makes with software fixes in the interim. But the biggest part of it was the Gravity's initially-superb charging capabilities.

But now having seen DreamDrive, DCFC, and the audio system become unstable in our car with this much-ballyhooed "Big Fix" update, I'm not sure such a trip would be advisable, at least in the Gravity.

We're hoping to keep our Air Dream for a few more years, but that may depend on whether Lucid introduces an extended warranty program before the 4-year section of the warranty expires in a few months. People at Lucid have told me that it is under consideration, especially as Lucid is mindful that warranties are starting to expire on early Airs. And our Air is holding up very well, but it is not a car I would want to own outside of warranty coverage. This is no slight to Lucid, as I felt the same way about the premium German cars I have owned, due to their high costs of service work.

So it wasn't just me!

Apparently not.

It's just another chapter in the continuing mystery of why these software bugs are so random in terms of which cars experience which ones.

I'll be very interested in what you and others experience with your Supercharger experience over the next week or so. I'm supposed to take delivery of my Gravity before the end of December and I have a 600 mile drive to bring it home, dependent on the Supercharger network. If there's any chance that the car isn't going to be able to charge, I'll have to pass on delivery. Getting stuck with a dead vehicle in the middle of the mountains because it can't communicate with the charging network is not a risk I'm taking.

I don't anticipate needing to use a Supercharger in the next week. Our newest Gravity is going to be trucked over from Miami to Naples, and it will sit in our garage until the PPF installer can take it in for a wrap. I will maybe try out another Supercharger in our area in the next few days just to see how the car behaves.

To be clear, though, I don't think anyone here has reported that they couldn't get a Supercharger to work at all. As with ours, it's been an issue of having to do multiple tries, sometimes including going to a different charge post.

But something has gone amiss, as every Supercharger use for us prior to the recent update was seamless, whether using Lucid's native plug-and-charge or going through the Tesla app when on the Tesla subscription plan for discounted fees.

The bigger issue is that Lucid apparently doesn't know how to fix software bugs in other features without screwing up a feature as critical as charging capability. Until they figure this out there will be an ongoing risk of this happening again, including possibly disabling charging altogether.

I, for one, am not going to download any further updates until I've watched this forum for a few days to see how others have fared with the update.

I just got an email from Lucid Customer Care:

"Following the latest software update to your Lucid Gravity, we have identified that a component in your vehicle needs to be replaced to ensure full compatibility with DreamDrive features."

I called to see what this entailed. It seems the steering wheel must be replaced, but they couldn't tell me whether than means taking the car to a Service Center or whether a mobile tech can do it. They also couldn't tell me whether some hardware issue might be involved in the disruption to DCFC since the update. (This car has already had the rear drive unit replaced.)

I got the same email, but my steering wheel was already replaced a month ago. Maybe emails were sent in error, or maybe they updated steering wheel assembly recently and need to swap it again. I’m not in a rush as DD is working well right now.

I drove 700 miles on Monday with the new update. Stopped at 3 Tesla chargers and one Ionna charger. No problems with any of them. Hit peak speeds each time. That's my experience tho.

When I called Customer Care he said they were just getting word about this and that the email might be going out to all Gravity owners. He wasn't sure, though.

I just talked to the Miami Service Center to let them know that we have a new Gravity there waiting to be trucked over to Naples and that if they needed to pick up the older Gravity to replace the wheel, they could combine the delivery with the pickup and save an extra truck trip. However, they said a mobile tech can replace the wheel. But they're also checking to see whether they need to get the older Gravity to the Service Center to find out whether there are hardware issues also in the disruption to DCFC and the audio system since the 3.3.20 update.
