so what's next generally for Air s/w update?

seems like it's been quiet generally apart from the recent updates which don't provide obvious user functions (so maybe infrastructure changes, bug fixes, etc). of course the software team has been super busy with the Gravity. Having said that, does anyone have ideas on what might be released for the Air in 2026? Seems like aspects of a UX3.0-like approach are desired. Any other notions? Air had that PPT page full of future updates possible but I think there were significant exec changes since that was produced. Are the changes done? Will we get dashcam, scheduled pre-conditioning, geo-fencing for the auto unlock, memory position for easy exit, etc? For me, the car is pretty solid now but of course a few additional features would be great. Anyone have thoughts on this?

Personally (and if I were in a leadership position at Lucid, which I'm not), I would veto any new features or enhancements until they resolve their stability issues. Don't add more complexity to a tangled mess. With issues like the app unable to connect to the car consistently, the screens turning off while driving, the regen profile drastically and unintentionally changed, awful in-car phone bluetooth connection (at least half my phone calls don't work in my brand new car), and oh yeah, the key actually working, nothing else should even be looked at.

I haven’t had any of these issues on my 26. Not saying I don’t think some people have, but they seem to have solved it at least for some hardware.

Sure, but they are widely known and reported issues. I personally don't have any problems with the key on my car. The door handles present before I reach for them 95% of the time, and only once in a blue moon do I have to stand and wait a maximum of 3 or 4 seconds. Still, knowing how much this issue is occurring for so many people, and how utterly basic it is to the operation of a vehicle, if I were in Lucid management I would have a dedicated team assigned to deal exclusively with key issues and solve these problems. They are 100% losing sales over something as stupid as the key not working.

fair .. although I have few of those issues so maybe I'm spoiled 🤷‍♂️. '25 AT DDP SSP, pixel 8 pro (android) phone. app connects well 95 out of 100 times, key works (fob and phone), phone calls work fine. so I guess I don't have a tangled mess.

So, I have had numerous sw issues with my 2025 AP fully optioned out. I won't go into details except to say I have complained about each of them many times. My car is now in for service on them, principlely key fob and waking up issues. It's been at the studio for 2 weeks and is still sitting in their lot. They say they may get to it in the next week or so. Ridiculous. I also want lucid to succeed but this is not how you do it. Great car marred by the worst software of any car in the world.

which repair center is it sitting at?

Dashcam/Sentry would be great. Dashcam was key in my model 3 accident earlier this year showing clear fault on the other driver.
Dashcam should be available OTA, but I think Sentry might require additional hardware?

Back to the topic of this thread - what's next, we Air owners wonder. The software team has been "fired" according to comments at CES this week, and it's been more than a month since the last update for the Air, and three months since anything beyond "robustness" was pushed. I assume that means the team is all hands on deck working on the Gravity software, but hoping they also show the rest of the fleet some love, too...

"Lucid CEO: 'I Replaced The Software Team' After The Gravity's Buggy Launch"

My guess is other than perhaps some more "robustness" updates to stabilize the existing software (mine is fine by the way) we won't see much until they roll out UX3.0 which was "promised" sometime in the next 6 months and also V2H is supposedly coming (again) in that same time period.

So I have a small amount of shares as well as owning an Air. I am ok with them focusing on getting the gravity right if it increases their deliveries. My Air won’t be getting any updates if the company gets sold off for IP. Get the Gravity into prime condition.

I also am not particularly hot for new features. I'm glad they made wholesale changes in the software area.

Seems like we shouldn’t hold our breath for too much until 3.0 in the fall.

3.0 won't be for all vehicles too. All older cars need to do hardware upgrade before 3.0 can be released. I think its pretty much robustness only for several months.

Hopefully, there will be a much-needed increase in "robustness" until 3.0x. Rich, savory robustness.

I'd still love a digital 10-band EQ and add-on a Speed-Compensated-Volume option (with a touch of bass-boost mixed-in, maybe 1 or 2db) like the way Bose systems do in GM cars.

One can only hope for further non-transparent, rich, rich, robustness.

Is that something that Lucid has confirmed? I’ve heard that as conjecture here, but I’ve never heard anyone at Lucid say a hardware upgrade was essential for 3.0.

I'd be on board with this.
