Silly girl question--where do you put a bag/briefcase?

Lucid Air Pure 2025
Okay so this is definitely not a critical issue but apparently I like rabbit holes. At times, I will need to brake suddenly, and the work bag or handbag I have on my passenger's seat goes flying into the passenger well, scattering my stuff all over. Yes, I could zip my bag. Yes, I could just pick everything up. Yes I know I'm asking a silly question. For our other cars, I use hooks on that clip to the metal headrest post to hang a bag. The 2025 AP I have has an integrated headrest without any place to clip. There are these net contraptions that sit between the front seats at the back of the arm rest, but one would have to have ugly straps across the headrests to attach it in the Air. Not quite the aesthetic I'm going for. I haven't been able to find a solution to secure my bag so that I can still access its contents as needed while driving. Any thoughts?

I start with my bag on the floor (passenger footwell or behind the driver's seat) so it doesn't end up there forcefully. :)
That said I don't generally need to access my bag while driving. That sounds like the problem. Keep things you need in the car's compartments?

I'm not a girl but when I get into the driver's seat, I put my briefcase in the rear passenger side footwell, leaning against the back of the front passenger seat. This way it can stay put if I hit the brakes and I can still reach over and grab it with my right hand when I need to get something or just to pick it up and get out of the car.

Wonder if you can adjust the tilt of the passenger seat to counteract

If you don’t need access to the bag while driving, the frunk is a good option. That’s where my laptop bag goes on every drive.

I tend to use my frunk a lot more than my trunk.

If you do need to have access to stuff in the bag, that’s a bit trickier.

The floor behind the driver's seat is a trash compacter.

I put my groceries there and when I get home
the auto seat exit starts moving backwards, crushing anything behind it.

I do love using the funk, but it's extra steps. I always think I can stop the auto trash compacter in time, but alas, here am I trying to yank a bottle of pinot out from under the seat before it bursts all over the Santa Cruz carpet.

Also, when I am a front passenger I keep reaching up for the hand grab above the door. There is no hand grab above the door.

Thank you--Interesting idea. I am used to my early Tesla model that had literally no storage--no doorside well, no center console (just a big trough). Have to think about this one a bit more.

Curious! Does your frunk auto open and close? Or do you have to press it closed? I don't like using the frunk overall because it leaves hand prints on the front when I press down.

Hmm. Maybe your arms are longer--fishing my sunglasses out while driving and trying to pay attention feels like something I should limit to "occasionally" rather than "often."

guy here - if I had that situation, I'd probably buy one of the below, drill a hole in it and attach a clip to it to clip to your handbag. just be sure not to use these to avoid real seatbelt use for a passenger: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FKY8VFJ4
If you're really in / out of the car a lot, you could leave it clipped to your bag inside and just pull it out and clip it in when you get in the car. Not sure if this could cause any issues with the particular car.
Also, does it fit in the storage behind the lower display? (the one you can retract and show the storage behind it).

That's a neat idea too! Boy you are all very creative--thank you! Oh, and that storage below the pilot panel is good for small bags but not laptop-sized ones.

I put my briefcase behind the driver seat but it's such a big space that it can move around a bit. otherwise I put in the trunk. just ordered a little collapsible organizer for behind the driver seat for smaller things like takeout food, etc.

Does anyone use the compartment behind the pilot panel? I have never used this space but thought it was designed for bags.

I have a power frunk. Yes. That helps.

And my car is white, so it doesn’t show fingerprints too bad.
