Side Mirror Tilt Rant

LUCID - LISTEN - what is the point of not having BOTH mirrors tilt??!! Numerous of my much less expensive (previous) vehicles provided choice of Tilting/no tilting but NONE only tilted one side!! WTH!!!

I personally need and use this feature numerous times daily backing in to my long driveway and then navigatiing tight spots towards the garage. Give ME the choice!

But fwiw, I agree with you. The idea is that you’d look out the window for the other curb, but they should just do both.

We don’t even have auto dimming dash lights or a headlight timer. The software is bare bones crap.

For those using tilt, is the overhead view not sufficient (although I agree having tilt buttons would be a good addition).

I rely on side window tilt in my other car, but with the Gravity, I love using the overhead view whenever I need to park or maneuver at slow speed. It’s an easy one-button press (P). You can zoom in and rotate the view if needed. It even helps avoid rear tire curb rash on tight turns in drive-throughs and parking lots, as the trajectories of both rear and front tires are projected onto the road/curb, which is great.

Yikes - having to open doors/windows. Agree, the cameras need to be better at night. Hopefully, an OTA software update can fix the low light problem as opposed to it being a camera hardware issue (after Lucid fixes basic bugs). I’d hate to be stuck with poor quality cameras.

Just want to rant about the Side Mirror Tile option. I want to use the option once every two weeks (at most), that's about once every 50 times I reverse, so keeping it enabled all the time is a no-go. I wish there was a control on the main screen to enable/disable the tilt, like there is for the side mirror folding (which I've never used) I'm particularly salty because I just scratched my rim, which I'm 99% confident would not have happened if the side mirror was tilted. This is my first scratch too, so it stings particularly bad.

This is the kind of adjustment that should never have been on the info screen. The mirror adjustments, including tilting, should be a separate control (in most cars a knob that turns and pushes). Anything that we might want to use while driving should be a separate control and NOT a haptic one; a real button/switch.

The overhead camera, frankly, in tight spaces is so damn distorted and would lead to undesired consequences if I relied on that solely!

And thanks for bringing up night time camera quality - I'm shocked w/ the low light (i.e., nighttime) camera view - almost worthless!! My previous vehicles w/ these cameras displayed nighttime views as if it were daylight!!! a $125k car w/ such low quality/grade cameras? COMPLETELY INEXCUSABLE.

Excuse my rants but, little over a week in to ownership and I become more disillusioned w/ each passing day - i discover more flaws daily! Created a document of my issues and the page is almost full. I bought my gravity w/ eyes wide open and expected that there would be some quirky glitches that OTAs would address but, I'm shocked w/ the level of inconsistencies that I experience daily including key fob non-recognition!

They should just add more voice control to Hey Lucid for stuff like this. "Hey Lucid, tilt the mirrors as I go into reverse within the next 30 seconds. "
