Rove Breaks Ground in Santa Ana

Agree. From a commercial standpoint, another at Quartzite (California/Nevada border) and another along the LA/Las Vegas route would seem to be winners
Their model works for urban centers, not travel corridors. There's no need for a Gelson's market in Quartzite.

True. So we need to convince them to deploy the urban center design with a grocer attached AND an interstate design with a few nice fast casual restaurants attached. The base concept is sound in either case.

They need some between LA and SF/Sacramento on the 5 and 99. The current stations are always overwhelmed.
I guess it’s not commercially viable but these large locations simply don’t make sense in cities, they belong on interstates. Time and time again I see a 10,20,30 stall location opening at a mall or in the middle of town and then an 6 or 8 stall location opening on an interstate. Just seems completely backwards.

For major travel corridors (e.g. SD/LA/SF/SAC, LA/Vegas, DC/NYC/Bos) it makes sense to have a travel plaza with 30-50 stalls, possibly having Tesla, EA, Rove, etc. all there and a restaurant complex with a convenience store, not unlike travel plazas along the toll roads. I would imagine that eventually a REIT would develop these. It would be economically viable for them based on rent.
