Roof Cross Bars

Has anyone installed the roof crossbars themselves? Considering purchasing but trying to get a sense of how straight forward it is (or isn't) as a DIY. I notice the little glass covers on the roof where the bars would clip in. I don't simply want to start prying them out and haven't been able to find any information on how to install?

They are only plastic and just pop out when you pull them towards you.

Likewise, they snap back in into two little sockets.
I am considering the cross bars as well but as stated in several threads would only have Lucid install them as there is a risk of cracking the glass roof.

Don't risk doing them yourself. Even when the service center does it, they still run the risk of cracking the glass (as what happened with mine, returned the crossbars)

yes did myself...be careful with the pull out tabs on top of the car...they are flimsy and I ripped two of them...installation was fairly easy...
