Has anyone seen this , on my 4th wash and every time I get red dust mid dirt stuff dripping from somewhere in the trunk assembly
Yes. After a wash, you need to open the trunk and let the water drain. Then close it. I find I do this two times to fully dry the car.
The secret is never wash itI love the Air, but it's the "drippiest" car I've ever owned. If washing at home I use a lawn blower to blow out the crevices in the rearview mirrors and all around the frunk and trunk lids. If washing at a carwash I try to use the suction of the vacuum cleaners (using my fingers to keep the nozzle from scratching the car). Even then, I have to open, drain, and close the frunk and trunk lids several times. And, if I'm at the carwash, I have to wipe down the trunk/bumper junction again after the drive home. It just drips, and drips . . . and drips.
Two and a half years and my car still bleeds dust around the trunk. There is always more dust getting into that area and every time I wash it more comes out. As others have said, open and close the trunk a few times and use a leaf blower. My car took quite a while to stop bleeding dirt after a wash. It does end. Just give it more time and more washes.
Just the dust from the desert. It took multiple washes over a significant period time to get rid of all of the dust on my car.Has anyone seen this , on my 4th wash and every time I get red dust mid dirt stuff dripping from somewhere in the trunk assembly
that makes me wonder if it's break dust or somethingTwo and a half years and my car still bleeds dust around the trunk. There is always more dust getting into that area and every time I wash it more comes out. As others have said, open and close the trunk a few times and use a leaf blower.
ya thats what i have been doing.. it's annoying.. not loving guys saying it never really goes awayI keep a microfiber cloth in the trunk. Old habit from when I had to constantly wipe off cameras after snow in Boulder. But I also use it to wipe that line of wet dirt that forms on the rear bumper after every wash. No matter how many times I open and close the trunk while drying, there's always more dirt and water in there.
No; @Adnillien lives in Arizona, so he gets that Arizona clay constantly. Brake dust you’d see around… the brakes.that makes me wonder if it's break dust or something
And I almost never actually use the brakes due to expertly judged regenNo; @Adnillien lives in Arizona, so he gets that Arizona clay constantly. Brake dust you’d see around… the brakes.
