Is that a problem or a feature? Seem like pilot panel is going to be used much more with 2.11 - however, I don't have an Air, so please excuse any stupidity in my comment.

Hey, it's a problem. The pilot screen when closed should stay closed...but now it automatically opens...

The car resets when it goes into deep sleep and I am guessing part of the rest is to bring pilot screen in its default position


Note that deep sleep reset is a regulation requirement

I do not have UX 3 to test my theory

By ‘opens’, does it mean it slides up and out of the way? If so, mine does not and stays opened or closed depending on where I left it.

What happens is: I'm driving I close the pilot screen and after approx 2-3min it opens by itself...this is consistent

I haven't been blessed by 2.11 yet, but are you using an application that requires the pilot screen? Maybe they've written in some logic that will open the pilot screen when something is being rendered there which requires attention.

I know in previous versions the software would often send interactive elements to the pilot screen while the screen was retracted. I always found that frustrating.

In addition, prior to the update, when I would close the screen it would turn off, now it stays on!! Plus in automatically opens up again

It sounds like something is up with the mechanism. Mine seems to work normally? To me it sounds like it’s getting caught on something and thus not able to fully retract / turn off.

Thanks for checking. The opening and closing is fine without a glitch. Its that after closing (variable time) it closes by itself...all after the update.

So yeah…you’re right. Screen now stays on when stowed (black but shows the arrow button) where before it turns off. My screen also un-stows by itself now. I timed it at 5.5 minutes after stowing (weird number). Wasn’t event driven, just auto opens. Weird choice to do this…

It can’t be on purpose that would be really distracting. I would imagine there’s some sort of regulation about moving parts inside a vehicle requiring a user to trigger it right? It’s like the 2926 version of a glove box that opens every 5.5 minutes.
