Amen. Can we just go one day without someone posting a thread that the sky is falling at Lucid. Between the constant posts regarding Saudi funding, Gravity order delays, sales numbers, job cuts, etc., it seems like some people just can’t enjoy their vehicles without posting some panic post.
Pulling out completely now is not worth it. They want a factory in Saudi to kickstart manufacturing in their country. Why would they stop now? Couple of billion is peanuts for them.Yes, but one can assume they'll also take a hard look at any money losers on their books right now, and with Lucid in the red billions annually, it's not very well positioned. Prolonged conflict in the region will not be good for this company.
Lady Whilstledown....good one. Though she sometimes has some truthsAmen.
When someone shows up that can predict the future, I hope they post.
Until then, all this tilting at windmills is just Lady Whistledown doing her thing.![]()
Yup. And so does this forum.Lady Whilstledown....good one. Though she sometimes has some truths![]()
Excatly, IMO most of the requested investment is kinda to fuel the bubble. Lucid is hardly a bubble.Pulling out completely now is not worth it. They want a factory in Saudi to kickstart manufacturing in their country. Why would they stop now? Couple of billion is peanuts for them.
What I presume they are referring to is investments in other American companies - crypto , AI, banks, energy- they are not majority owners in any except Lucid or EA sports.
Only way it will hurt Lucid is if it wrecks the economy as a whole. I doubt the Saudis have even thought about it. Like how would that go. “Hey the USA attacked Iran!?!”I doubt this conflict will hurt Lucid. If anything it will push oil prices higher - it already has. That would mean more revenue for Saudi Arabia, which ultimately strengthens the Public Investment Fund — Lucid’s largest investor.
and...more ppl likely to switch to an EV 'cause their over the higher prices at the pump!I doubt this conflict will hurt Lucid. If anything it will push oil prices higher - it already has. Anyone that thinks that PIF would "WAAA" over Iran getting bombed is super ignorant of the disdain between shiites & sunnisThe only way itnsil

Hope it stays that way! Initial reporting, so read likely filled with errors, is uae joined the not war and blew up Iran desalination plant. I am guessing this is maybe why Iran attacked desalination plant in Bahrain. Regardless of deets, this is going to become grim for everyone in the region, hopefully not the understatement of the year in hindsight. You know Iran attacked Saudi too....
I am in UAE, life is normal here just some inconvenience such as air travel.
Great for Russia, but you can’t get revs if you can’t ship product, which is the problem for most of the Middle East oil right now because the straight of Hormuz is still closed.I doubt this conflict will hurt Lucid. If anything it will push oil prices higher - it already has. That would mean more revenue for Saudi Arabia, which ultimately strengthens the Public Investment Fund — Lucid’s largest investor.
