I am perplexed by the lack of communication from Lucid regarding my friend’s request for a test drive. My friend lives in Minnesota, and the nearest Lucid store is in Chicago. She contacted the Lucid sales department in Newark, California, and they suggested a test drive in Denver since she had to fly to Denver on a business trip.

Upon her arrival in Denver, she attempted to contact the sales department, but received no response from the sales office or the Lucid Store in Denver, after leaving multiple messages. I attempted to contact the sales department on her behalf, but was also met with voicemail. Despite leaving several voicemails, I have yet to receive any response from Lucid.

I have also contacted the customer service department, but their response was that the issue was not their responsibility and that she should try calling again.

This situation raises concerns about Lucid’s customer service practices. It is concerning that a potential customer is willing to purchase a product but is unable to obtain a test drive or communicate with the sales department. While I’ve had positive experiences with Lucid’s customer service in Miami, this incident suggests that the problem might not be widespread, but rather limited to certain areas of the company. This is an unacceptable approach to business management, especially for a nascent company.

I thought you just submit a request through the portal on the website? For some reason sales is easier to get to with email and text than phone....

Yep. https://lucidmotors.com/demo-drive
I just did an test request for tomorrow morning in Denver. See image below.

Also, @Erjackson104 in hindsight, I think it would have been better for your friend to have contacted the Denver studio directly, prior to arrival instead of after arrival.

So you’ve posted this in every Lucid Facebook group and now here as well. What are you hoping to get out of this? People have given good recommendations on contacting the service center closest to your friend to schedule.

I just walked into a showroom to look at a Gravity. They asked if I wanted to test drive one and away I went. It wasn’t that hard. Did your “friend” actually go to the Denver showroom and ask for a test drive?

While I sense a certain skepticism about the original post in this thread, it does seem to be true that the sales team isn't particularly responsive to phone calls. I know that over the last year I've called Lucid Studios multiple times, and it's been hit or miss whether someone answers the phone. And certainly there have been lots of complaints here in the forum about SA's not being as responsive as many of us would like. So while I don't know this poster's motivation for spamming the internet with their complaint, it's not 100% implausible.

I mean, if it’s true though it’s pretty poor form for a company who needs every penny they can get to just flat out ignore potential owners. This isn’t the first story of people calling Lucid, leaving voicemails etc. and getting nothing in return. If you rang a traditional car maker the salesman would be on your ass within 5 mins and you’d never be able to get rid of them until you purchased.

That’s just concerning behavior on Lucid’s part.

Submit a trade in value request to Tesla and they will be texting and calling you before you’ve even read the offer.

The first time I emailed them to buy one it was ignored, I tried again and got an auto reply but then another sales guy reached out to me based on that. Then it went okay until delivery fell apart but I’ve already told that story.

Then a month after I bought the car, some guy called me to ask if I still wanted to buy a Lucid (???) I said I already did and he said oh it got loaded into my Salesforce so he called. It was odd.

Having said that, I have only good experiences with their customer service since. Friendly and polite and easy to get ahold of.

Sounds like Tesla. You gotta dig to get the actual local showroom number.

Hi, @Erjackson104. I am sorry to hear about your friend's experience. I just sent you a DM.

I'm not on Facebook so I wouldn't see those. And I don't know the OP's goal specifically. But he/she was probably casting a wide net in the hopes of getting Lucid's attention. And it clearly worked as Marqie just chimed in. So, while possibly annoying, it seems it was an effective approach. Not all of us have the reach of an Engineering Explained video lol

Hi, @Erjackson104. I am sorry to hear about your friend's experience. I just sent you a DM.
You've got SuperMarqie on the case now - she will get it done! Go Marqie!!! You been wonderful to me!!

At the Scottsdale showroom they have five vehicles for test drives and it is rare for more than one to be out of the parking spaces. The ratio of Gravities to Airs has changed and currently there are three Gravity test vehicles and two Air test vehicles. No problem for anyone who wants a test drive of either.

In response to my previous post regarding my friend’s inability to obtain a test drive, Lucid Motors has reached out to both of us to express their interest in proceeding with the purchase. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all individuals who have provided positive feedback on the Lucid Motors website and the Lucid Owner’s Forum. While we acknowledge the presence of a few negative comments that may have caused some concern, we believe that the overall positive sentiment has been more influential in our decision-making process. It was indeed unfortunate that there were a couple of commentators who questioned my credibility.

We have actively engaged with various online platforms to increase our visibility and received favorable responses. As a result, we are pleased to announce that we have successfully secured a test drive for our friend. We are enthusiastic about our Lucid vehicle and are committed to supporting the company’s continued success..

Thanks for the update! Try not to take the credibility questioning too hard; we have a lot of “drive bys” here, so it’s unfortunately par for the course and actually has absolutely nothing to do with you.

But really - thank you for posting the update! These threads rarely get that kind of update/closure.

I tried to contact sales today with no luck. Left a phone message and also emailed. I wanted to ask if they had any unlisted incentives similar to what was reported a couple of weekends ago.
