Parking surround view surprise!

I was trying to apply a matte screen protector to the pilot panel and activated the parking view accidentally. I then discovered a feature I haven't seen mentioned anywhere in the forums, reviews, or manual. Did you know that the surround view could do this?!?

Hah; definitely not. Nor does the tree jump across the sidewalk and grow on the other side. The stitching software makes some... interesting choices.

Go to Settings > Display and turn on screen cleaning mode while you are installing a screen protector.

It even gets the DE badging right -- although doesn't have the HUD cutout. (Also I think those say "Pirelli" on the tires and I have Michelins...)

Yeah, I did that for the install -- this was while I was fussing to template. It's passable, but I am going to wait for someone to sell a custom-cut version. I did not do the best job on rounding the corners.

Don't worry. We'll be lending our DE to the cause for @TWRAPS to make some screen protectors and perhaps some other custom organizational things, etc., soon.

You can also move the view around (a little bit) on the home screen which shows the drive modes.

Try zooming into the car

Just be careful not to hit yourself with the camera once it's in there.

I'm eager to see transparent view arrive. No more blocked-out areas close to the car - at least when the car has the image data.
