I'm a big user of the folding mirrors due to my narrow garage door. If the mirrors are out, I have less than 1" clnc on each side, a bit of a non-starter with a tight turn into the garage to begin with.
As such, use the folding function every single time I arrive home.
There are times I'll need to hit the button 3-4 times, DESPITE seeing the screen respond, detecting that I did, in fact, push the screen in the vicinity of the button. I am typically doing 2-3 mph when this happens, having slowed to a call while heading up the drive way, opening the garage door (which very conveniently pops up thanks to proximity detection!). Time after time, though. I have to come to a dead stop...and specifically focus on hitting the mirror button, dead center with a slightly longer hold than I would've considered to be required.
Can anyone confirm? @marqie I hate to trouble you, but is it possible to find out from the UX dev what parameters exist for determining if the button has been pushed or not? I could SWEAR I'm seeing the button highlight when I do the quick, possibly slightly off-target tap that fails...every time. So, it's not that the screen didn't detect the tap. I'm wondering if, perhaps, there is a click spot height/width which could be increased, and/or if there is a minimum amount of time the button needs to be pressed to be considered a REAL click. If it's the latter....I will send a bag with $5USD in unmarked non-sequential bills for them to reduce that click duration threshold. I sense it's trying to avoid accidental clicks...but given the location of the button, and the fact that option ONLY works when you're below max folding speed to begin with (any faster and the button is greyed out, of course), I would argue there is no need to enforce a longer click to prove that it's a REAL click. Please, just fold the mirrors.
Or, not surprisingly, just like you have proximity detection for the garage door popup, please add me to the list of ppl who think auto-folding mirrors upon return to home would be an amazing feature that could be toggled on/off. They already UNFOLD upon reaching the speed threshold, and that's great....so the only thing missing is AUTO FOLD based on proximity. Failing that, please make the button easier to press if at all possible.
