I am only able to get the driver side mirror to close manually using the Pilot Panel. Does anyone know if there’s a way to get it to close after engaging Home link to open a garage door and for it to remain closed when parked in the garage to avoid hitting the garage when backing out. Thanks

There are several improvements they could make to the mirrors. Your suggestion being one. They could also make it so the mirrors stay where I put them so they don't pop out on unlock, which restricts door opening angle when there is a bollard next to the car.

Most egregious is the lack of a button to drop the driver or passenger mirror when backing up to see the curb without drilling into the settings. They could put it directly on the 360 view on the pilot panel for quick and easy access.

I’ve been complaining about the mirrors not staying closed since I cancelled my AGT order years ago (it was one of a few reasons to cancel). With a GGT on order I’m going to have to cut a hole in the garage wall so the mirror can auto-unfold when I unlock the car. I’m not aware of any other vehicle that forces the mirrors to auto-unfold and it’s super annoying.

It you set the setting, it does so automatically every time you’re in reverse.

It is all part of the awful trend toward "minimalism". It's cheaper to put all the controls in the info system but, IMHO, no car pretending to be a luxury car should be following this trend.

Gotta make a choice somewhere. For all the screens in the car, the Air is among the least bad offenders of this, since it has physical controls for vents, HVAC, and lots of other things. But yeah, not *every* item needs its own physical button; this one, I set once and never thought about again, as it tilts every time I go into reverse, which is precisely what I want.

YMMV, I guess.
