Park Place BodyWerks - Repair Experience and Insurance Cost

This is part review, part rant. Earlier this year, I was sideswiped by an uninsured, unlicensed driver.

The nearest Lucid-authorized body shop was Park Place BodyWerks in Fort Worth. My car sat there for just over two months because Lucid repeatedly sent the wrong part. On the final attempt, they shipped the (still wrong) part to Park Place’s billing address instead of the shipping address.

I eventually picked up the car while waiting on the correct part (a mirror cap) and they finally sent the right one. I’m scheduled to go back next week for the final fix.

But the most frustrating part? The panel gaps. The hood doesn’t sit flush and actually rubs against the headlight brow on one side.

Insurance was billed $11,451 for the repair.

I would take it back to them ASAP and tell them they need to fix that issue until it all fits together correctly. That's unacceptable body work --even more so if it's causing issues with parts hitting each other which goes beyond just "cosmetic".

Yeah, they need to fix that. Make sure Lucid knows about the issue too.

Wow - that’s too bad. Park Place should know how to work on high dollar stuff too - no way that should be considered acceptable. Surprised they even said that was good to go.
