Out of Spec 3 Row EV race - Lucid Gravity driven by Kyle

Not to get this thread off-topic and on to charging, but an interesting observation at the 39 minute mark of the video.
@Cyp is using a charger that has the NACS adapter connected/bolted to the CCS charging connector.
Users don't need to have a CCS-to-NACS adapter.

I'm still not sold on using CCS chargers because of the bulkiness and heaviness of the charging cables.
The weight of the cable, with an adapter attached, seemed to stress the NACS charge port on the car.
I want to avoid repeated use of a heavy charge cable resulting in a charge port with a loose connection.

That's at the Applegreen charger on NJ turnpike for others reference... The whole setup they use seems so BAD.. I doesn't seem like those adapters are rated properly for high voltage cars.... I don't think they should be doing it that way.. They should have a real Nacs handle directly on a cable and a handle CCS handle on a cable...... Not the screwed on adapter.. I would rather just use my own... this thing seems like a problem waiting to happen... If car manufactueres dont like you to use adapters that are not theirs, this forces you to, so I hope Applegreen will be held liable if someones port does get zapped.

Hmm.

I hadn't considered that aspect.

I think the owner's manual (P. 216) does reference what you're saying.

Still not the race. They are going to milk this one for weeks....
Wow.

I watched a little at the beginning in between football games.

Thanks for the heads up.

Haha I honestly think they are getting these up as fast as they can edit it 😅 Soooo much footage to get through, and I think it’s just one editor (who’s not quite as speedy as their previous editor).

Doesn't seem to have much editing applied based on the length of the video! 😂

director edition = live stream feed. you'll sit through every second.

So heard today on the "Batteries Included" EV podcast that Tijmen S., who is the OOS editor, was involved in an accident on their track with a two-wheeler. He's fine (but it was rather serious).

I'm guessing that could mean an even further delay to actual race footage. :)

Aren't we all missing the point? The fact that (some of) you watched, or at least clicked through it, was the whole point; click-metrics and ad $$$.

Newest video!
Over 3 hours!

Has anyone figured out how to copy the transcript into AI so it can summarize? I can’t stand the lack of editing/ don’t have that kind of time.

started to watch it. A 100% full battery and (Kyle's) Gravity is estimating only 260 mile range? I know it's cold in ME but really? :)

Edit: after driving for a while they changed from Dynamic (260) to Rated and it said around 330 miles range.

I don't even see the transcript.

I don't think it's been up long enough yet for the transcript to

I don't think YouTube has finished scanning the upload, Closed Captioning isn't available yet either.

at the 54 minutes mark, they do an efficiency check and the Model X is ahead of everyone else. 😯

Also, the only vehicle so far which is showing random, occasional warnings is the Lucid. But this was before the update.

Youtube Premium users have an 'ask' button below the video and then you just prompt Gemini to summarize.
