You can force your phone to make the app use cellular connection only instead of WiFi. This was my original go-to solution. I hope it works for you.

Other users have already reported here in this thread... and here are my take.

1. Air Logo reset & phone bluetooth complete forget-and-add recommended. Wasn't able to connect until I performed the Air logo reset / bluetooth re-add.

2. Yes... lots of (wasted) space... also the the background blurred color -> your phone's background photo

3. AA Music app (in my case, the youtube music) and Google Map Navigation is integrated with the main driver side's glass cockpit

4. AA is "off" (at least music wise) if I tab Air Navigation or Music Icon from the cockpit screen. Turn-by-turn guide is still showing on main cockpit glass.

There's more to experiment with, but I do wonder if it would have been a lot better if AA was available on the pilot panel instead of the cockpit glass.

I think they should go with the original layout and design philosophy where some of the controls where on the right. They moved the right controls to the far left because some people complained they could not reach them easily. After moving them, they realized the steering wheel was blocking them on the left and decided to move all the information to the right, creating 30% wasted space (relative to CP/AA window size) that could be used for CP or AA:

For anyone that has both, I tested the switching aspect out. It will auto switch to CarPlay on its own via Bluetooth when you hit CarPlay button but will not do the same for AA. For AA to switch you’ll need to go into devices and click on the Android device to connect it first.

Yes, I would also prefer to use right side curved screen for the 4 navigation buttons and make them bigger. But I could also see how some people may have problem reaching all the way to the right.

Right. They could make them bigger and also draw a line between & highlight them to make them look like distinct buttons and have the entire area be press-able - like the Left Cockpit Panel.

I just heard from Lucid that the watermark fix doesn't work for pixel phones. Can someone else please confirm?

After following the instructions to remove it, I only get it on my pixel 5 but not my Samsung.

Update - Lucid called to troubleshoot. after deleting it the phone from the car and vice versa, I restarted the phone and repaired everything and the watermark is gone.

Followed all directions to get rid of the pre production hardware message. Can't get rid of it.

FWIW I did have a Carlinkit box installed before.

I like the concept but I don’t have an NBA player’s wingspan to comfortably reach the edge of the screen while driving

Am I crazy or does the AA rectangle appear to be crooked in your picture? The gap on the bottom right against the flat part of the screen looks smaller than the left.

Hope it's just the angle of the picture playing tricks because that is some nightmare fuel.

It looks as crooked as CarPlay in my car. I just make the background black so as to tame my OCD. It doesn’t make sense because it seems parallel with the left line with the Lucid icons and the bottom of the screen seems “straight” enough. Oh well.

A long time ago, the 4 navigation buttons were on the far right side of the screen. But they moved closer to the steering wheel. I believe that shift happened before CarPlay... I would favor moving them back to the right on the angled part of the screen to have more real estate for the CarPlay and AA integration screens.

It's a preference one way or another. The curved screen is attractive but not practical to place rectangular objects. Hopefully some day we will see a UX 3.0 which will address these and other issues. But I love my Lucid and am happy to accept its quirks and features.

Talk to Apple and Google. They do not want you looking down to access CarPlay or AA. This is not a Lucid decision, and neither is the rectangular viewport.

Guess that explains why the designers/developers decided to overhaul the glass cockpit layout in Gravity...
Steering wheel not blocking the screen + place the frequently used buttons within the driver's reach to minimize the distraction while driving.

That being said.... As for Air, I still think the pilot panel would be a better location for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
