OTA Update 2.7.0

Yes! fix for the Drive issue as well.. this is Christmas for me.
Maybe Fathers/Mothers Day. Christmas for me would be finally having FSD...maybe even Sentry mode as well. Am I asking for too much? lol

Ha, I was driving in to work this morning and thinking the same thing. With this update, I have nothing to complain about... what am I going to write about on this forum ?!
I've been pretty content with the infotainment as-is, but if I were to complain, I'd rather have better integrated maps like avoiding tolls and including toll prices, and better lane navigation, or even just Google Maps instead of Lucid/Here Maps; also multitasking for viewing maps and controlling music, maybe a weather app would be nice too.

If by FSD you mean hands-free Drive Assist, it’ll come.

If by FSD you mean Waymo-style city driving, I wouldn’t hold your breath. :)

We’re not actually looking for reasons to complain, though I appreciate your contribution. :p

so if I receive the update while my car is parked at the airport, do I risk doing it at the airport??? I have my own rule never to do updates on the road .. but this one is so so tempting! Would enjoy high quality audio stream from my phone on the way home. decisions, decisions (and hopefully I have one to make!).

A tiny bit more patience. Fleet rollout usually takes 1-2 weeks.
I have waited three and a half years so a few more days won't matter. It would have been nice if they had pushed it out to the oldest cars first.

For that, look to a Polestar 3, EX90, Honda Prologue/Acura ZDX, Chevy Blazer, Cadillac Vistiq or Lyriq, Hummer EV, etc.

YMMV, but I've never had an issue with an update that a infotainment reboot didn't fix.

I'm not complaining, I'm wish-casting, I was perfectly content before AA (even as an android user), every update is just a bonus in my book

SUVs and crossovers don't really appeal to me, I imagine my next car in 5-7 years would be a used 2nd Gen Air (hopefully with rear-wheel steering and air suspension) or one of the Lucid midsize cars.

It is almost like it would make logical sense for the update software to reboot the entire car (all systems) once the update has been applied such that the update can take effect in all of the sub-systems...

Yeah I reboot after any update anyway

I'm surprised at how many posters are saying that this update does nothing of any interest to them other than getting Android Auto.

As someone for whom the driving experience means more than how many software features are in a car, I took particular note of this phrase in the release notes for 2.7..0:

"New electronic damper tuning for improved vehicle ride & handling experience."

For an automaker that, over three years ago, put the finest combination of ride and handling on the road that I have ever driven to still be working on fine tuning that experience is something I find remarkable. So many automakers, especially one with relatively small staffing, would have called it a day and long since moved on to other things. It is another of those signs that Lucid is packed with true gear heads, placing it among the finest automotive engineering houses on the planet right now . . . maybe even the finest if the early reviews of driving the Gravity are any indication.

I'm actually super-happy about the release notes. They've been great lately, very specific about bug fixes.

Is this for all vehicles? Not sure why it said Sapphire. If its for all, it a win on already fine tuned car to a level unmatched to others.

In my best British accent --- Hear! Hear! to this entire post!!

I thought that was for Sapphire only.

Maybe I missed something. Where does it say for Sapphire only?

But even so, to still be fine tuning what every reviewer says is the pinnacle of sedan performance in every dimension is notable.

One of Peter Rawlinson’s lasting contributions to automotive history is the determination he built in a car company to never stop seeking perfection. It might, though, also be the reason he’s no longer there. But the legacy remains. No one has ever put two new cars based on new propulsion technology on the road and have them shoot straight to the top automotive awards upon launch. And the Gravity might turn out to be his third.
