OTA Update 2.6.16

Borski sorry for the lame question but for those of us who do not memorize these things can you tell us how to do a reboot post update? I always forget car to car…. And ty!
Go to Settings, About and look for the “Air” logo in the upper left of the Pilot Panel. Press on the center of the logo steadily for 15-20 seconds and you will see a “Powering off” message appear in the upper right panel. Release the button. Allow the car to reboot.

Another option, if that doesn’t work for some reason, while the car is in park, hold down the brake, the microphone button and the "X" button on the steering wheel. Hold all three until you hear a chime, then let go and let the car reset. This one is also useful if the pilot panel ever disappears.

This and lots more info at @Bobby ‘s FAQ: https://www.lucidupdates.com/faq.html

I did the update over the weekend and have noticed significant changes.

1) on my route to work, there is an off ramp that the Drive Assist would always clip the left edge of the road, forcing me to always manually correct. With the update, the car stays in the middle of the lane during the off ramp curve. Nice!!
2) my efficiency to work was at best 4.1 miles/kwh. Today I got 4.32 on my 20 mile trip to work!

I will confirm this efficiency on my way home. Nonetheless, I am very satisfied with this “robust” update!

Has anyone else had the Drive System Warning message appear after this update? My car was great yesterday but I received the message the first time getting in it after the update installed today. Hard and soft reboots didn’t solve the issue. Message went away after deep sleep once but not a second time.

Customer care said it was okay to continue to drive and someone from the service center would call next week to schedule an appointment. Car seemed perfect on a short trip to run some errands this afternoon. Timing of the message could just be coincidental but I thought I’d ask.
Thank you for sharing. I just sent you a DM.

I received a DRIVE SYSTEM WARNING message after downloading 2.6.16 too. Tried some nuke resets and overnight deep sleep. Nothing worked. Waiting for the Service Center to call 🙄

We updated the car this last night. Prior to the update, everything was working fine. Now warnings displayed. Ever since the update we are now get warnings, 1st one came on, Rear Emergency Braking Unavailable and then, Automatic Vehicle Hold Fault- Drive with Caution Stability Control Unavailable. Is there anyone else experiencing warnding after this latest update??????
Thank you for sharing. I just sent you a DM.

If you receive an update, install it. Even if you don't, you'll have to in order to receive any future update anyway.

FWIW, I haven't had any issues with this update, but I did the usual reboot post-update.
I would advise against doing the update for a little while. We have two GTs. One was updated and received error messages after. Rebooted, called customer support and now it is at the service center. No estimated time of completion. Not updating our second GT. Especially after seeing others having issues. If it was a critical update I would be more inclined to update right away.

I got that warning yesterday while reversing into parking spot. Walked away and had lunch. Haven’t had the alert again after multiple times reversing into spots throughout the day. Have not done an air logo reset since the update.

Yes, we had this exact error on one of it GTs it is now at the service center. Haven’t updated the second GT.

Did my first post 2.6.16 drive.
The front motor whine does seem less pronounced after about 10 mph.
The Drive Assist does seem much smoother in the way that it navigates turns. Less "nibbling" to maintain a set trajectory.
The pick up from moving away from a stop in bumper to bumper traffic seems smoother and less abrupt. I think it's just right now. That last update made it too harsh when before it was too lazy.

Haven't seen any material increase in efficiency yet

Got the update last night for our '24 AT. No issues at this point. Still waiting for it for my '22 AGT.

Updated yesterday and went for a 2 hours drive. When using HA, I got three "hands on wheel" alerts - uncertain whether it's more sensitive or I'm getting more comfortable with it. It seemed to handle curves well - smooth turning. No error warnings. The weird infotainment issue that I have been having, automatically switching audio to phone bluetooth (from pocket cast app) seems to have stopped. Time will tell whether the 0.3mi/kWh improvement will be seen on my Touring...
Questions about curve handling - the car's HA decided to kill itself after the last update and I haven't really used it before to establish a baseline. Before it could go in for service the new .16 update seems to have fixed HA by itself. I tried it out briefly and seems like it would give up( steer up to certain degrees and then hold it there) and drift out of lane on Highway interchanges. Is that the intended behavior or should the car have slowed down to take the corner?

It should have slowed down. It should not be drifting out of the lane. My guess is you need an ADAS calibration, or something is up with one of your cameras or sensors. I’d call service.

BTW, I have a 2022 GT.

Something not mentioned in the patch notes. They fixed the 3rd party android auto/apple carplay devices. It works first try now rather than that fix I posted in the android auto thread

I think any perceived reduction in low speed motor whine is really just wishful thinking. Kind of like when I quickly glance to the right and think that I see Android Auto on the upper display....

My experience matches victoryroad in that the front motor whine is completely - gone! The one negative I've experienced is that lane centering has become very abrupt and aggressive, especially when I'm approaching a left or right-turn lane before the dots on the lane appear. After that, the car is smart enough to know which lane is appropriate. I'm now using both hands on the steering wheel (probably not a bad idea BTW) so the sudden jerk of the wheel doesn't surprise me or cause something unintended. If Lucid can smooth out that issue, it would be perfect. I've not heard it enough, but thanks to Bobby for all the historical information on the OTA updates. If you peruse the history, the software has come a long way.
