FEATURE OTA Update 2.1.52

Was hoping that my Highway Assist or Adaptive Cruise screen would be changed to look like this:

If you further want to dissect this image from Lucid's website- the car has 69,900 miles on it- but is charged to the max at 520 - no battery degradation? Also- car has traveled "3 miles" since last charge- shouldn't it read "517" ? (or in my Lucid's experience, "510" - heheh). I really don't care, but someone at the company assumingly had to approve this knowing it's false, and that's not a great indicator. Just be truthful- it goes a lot further.

I seriously hope you're joking, because its pretty obvious thats just a random CGI representation. Its objective wasnt to show the battery, that is just there to mimic what it could LOOK like in real life (not the statistics). Saying that Lucid isn't truthful because of this is a really funny joke. I do have a question, do you want to file a class action against Lucid for this?

not sure I would call fixing bugs and adding standard functionality that is built in to almost every car on the road a robust update. but ok. btw, what’s with the homelink complaints? the car automatically displays my gate, garage doors every time I drive up to them. It’s actually a very cool feature.
I just got my car and it’s been like 5 months since they added ANY new feature so relatively, it’s nice to know the software team is alive and kicking, haha but I do agree it is a small update mostly focused on bug fixes.

Btw the homelink issue is when you’re in reverse backing out of your driveway, it should work the same way as when you drive up by popping up, but it doesn’t because the backup camera blocks the UI

More specifically, it is not legal for them to cover the camera while in reverse.

right so it needs to be redesigned, i.e. create a steering wheel shortcut or put the button on the pilot panel, or add automatic geofencing or something like that

I agree with you. This has been on the wishlist for a very long time.

Kinda like Tesla? Sorry. Not an Elon fanboy, never was. But there are some things that Tesla’s software designers got right from the very beginning.

I’ve broken down and resorted to adding a garage door remote opener to my visor. Quite anachronistic in a car as state-of-the-art as the Lucid Air. I’ll remove it as soon as the reworked software with geofencing is dropped into our cars.

“Hey Siri close the garage.”

Installed 2.1.52 last night. It certainly did some robust things:

1. For the first time in months, CarPlay did not load. It wasn't even possible to delete and reinstall the phone to do this, as the fone didn't show.
2. On the highway, the motors died. Everything else (except car play) was working, but the car lost all motive energy on US 101 in Palo Alto.
3. After trying a reset, (walking away and waiting 15 minutes). The car ran again, carplay did not, and the app now shows the software rolled back to 2.1.50.

Robust that!

(yes, I robustly called service.)

Man im bummed sounds like this update went out super wide but I still haven't gotten it. I'm ready to go test those new charging profiles!

I have a garage door remote opener to my visor too. I'm not completely sure how to program Homelink because the opener I have wasn't really responding to the car when I tried. I'll try again when it's updated. And I'm in that minority that can't say “Hey Siri close the garage.”, so that wouldn't work either. This is one of those very rare times when I'd like to have an iPhone.

Hi, @sansonoma. I just sent you a direct message.

This might just be a coincidence. But I updated this morning. And now I'm getting a TPMS light today but all the pressures are all good. I've reported to CS. Also tried an Air reset and leaving the car parked and locked for 40 minutes. Still there. Anyone else have this after the update?

Really? Love my car- but super frustrated at promises not being kept. I rely on Self driving- I have almost 50k miles on the car. Looking at the image- it's WRONG - in so many ways. Is that OK??? By just seeing that image I would falsely assume that this is the tech that I was buying. How is it "pretty obvious thats just a random CGI representation"? Why would I assume that after paying $140k for a car that promised on delivery Level 2 self driving (it did not for a year) that they wouldn't vet every customer facing image or implied claim. It's not a joke. I saw that image and thought I didn't have some update or didn't have Dream Drive Pro or something was different about my GT. I verified that I am all up to date. I'm totally not looking to sue- I want this company to succeed- love the driving, range and looks of the car - it's my daily driver for past 2 years as I was one of the first to purchase it. But you cannot mislead customers, intentionally or unintentionally. Looking at the image- especially as a Tesla owner as well- you would be led to believe that this is what the Dream Drive Pro looks like and is taking in all that data in around it, similar to what a Tesla does. Every time my car ping pongs in the lane around a curve, I have to take over before side swiping something, This is OK- this is Tesla Autopilot V1- but it is not OK to make it appear that it's currently much more advanced than it is- that it's reacting to or observing anything else - especially as an inducement to purchase. It's been there for months, I alerted customer service months ago- it's still there. Even when Elon Musk overpromised and didn't deliver, they would remove it from their website (Roadster anyone?). I am just alerting that the company be honest with its present and future customers and pay attention to details becoming of a high end luxury car. The build quality and performance has. The tech has not. Credibility isn't earned on false or overlooked random CGI representations.

If you get my experience, maybe you don't want it! ;)

Sadly, your HW died.

It wasn’t the SW….

Select your tires size again from the preferences…

I’m guessing tires were swapped at some point, but everything may not have been done correctly.
