Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

Picked up a Touring ZR with Tahoe interior in DFW. Unfortunately it's raining heavily and my car is already “not clean” but I could resist picking it up today. Family is thrilled so far. I had the delivery center remove the plastic around the wheels - it looks so much better without them and I don't need the range so it works out.

Car was charges at 86% when I picked it up and I will try out my home charger (level 2 outlet) tomorrow after I put some miles on it and hopefully it will charge worry free.

This is my first expensive car and checked all the boxes and after test driving it, I knew I had to have it.

Thank you to this avid community - I have learned a lot through you all.

Ok so 45 and 35 % etc has nothing to do with how much infrared gets blocked.. infrared is what makes you feel heat on your skin.. 45 and 35 etc refer to how much visible light is allowed to pass through the tint.. so 35 means less light passes through.. making it darker looking tint than 65 which will let 65 % of visible light through making it look very light... You want to get IR ceramic tints with 98% heat rejection... And then separately decide if you want 25% light to pass through .. which is very dark.. or 70% which is very very light tint... Hope that makes

Since you don't have tints on the windshield and roof I guess that means no heat rejection. Do you feel more heat coming from those areas? I just left a shop and tested out the heat rejection and it was amazing. I considered putting on the roof/shield

There are some instances on Teslas where getting tints on the windshield and glass roof has thought to be the cause of windshields and roofs cracking...the glass is already tinted from the factory..and adding another tint creates a sandwich effect for the heat and traps it...but then there are thousands who have it and are just fine...Personally I just took a conservative approach ..and to be honest..I've felt totally comfortable and cool inside the car...don't miss the windshield tints at all...and I've had some hot days here in Houston...

Please do your own research and draw your own conclusions... I can only share my opinions...I'd hate to bias you one way or another.. just wanted to share my rationale for not tinting windshield and canopy

AT LAST! The baby has arrived! Rhyder at Riviera Beach gave us a thorough orientation - he’s excellent. Took all the time we needed, helped us through the whole process. It’s perfect - no flaws, responds beautifully, totally worth the wait. (Of course, now I‘m waiting for PPF and UV protection before driving it home. The saga continues….)

Picked up my AT from Costa Mesa yesterdy, the same design as my original order a year ago other than the colour, the interior and the glass roof! I changed from the original after seeing the colours in the flesh, and changed to the glass roof to get the discount. We will see how that works out when summer comes to the Coachella valley in a month or so. Chris did a great job walking me through setting everything up.
Drove back up the I91, I215 and CA60 in Friday afternoon LA traffic and pouring rain until about 10 miles from Indio (pouring rain here would be the end of the world).
Plugged in to 110v at home just to see how it would work and got 50 miles added overnight. Ran errands today and plugged into our local EA station just to try it. It was just plug and play, really simple. The only hassle was the parking layout for the short cable and the charge port location meaning I had to park sideways to get the one to reach the other.
One very happy customer.
