Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

Visited the Torrance service center today. My car arrived from Arizona this morning. Lucid will not let you visit your car in prep. But they did have an identical vehicle ready for delivery, pics below. I did learn that Tourings with Mohave interiors are not currently available. Here are some pics of Zenith with Santa Cruz.

For those that took delivery of your Touring. What was provided with your vehicle? Did it include the tire inflator/repair kit? I know that the mobile charger will be in the trunk, did they also provide any swag? Screen cleaning cloth, hat, travel tumbler, etc? Want to make sure I don't miss out on anything!!!

No tire inflator kit. It’s $150 I believe. It does come with a screen cloth and the put swag in the front which included a travel tumbler, baseball cap, and bag

Received the PA that has the wrong size tires listed. Before they found the replacement car in a different color, DA indicated they can easily change the tires to the correct size before delivery. Should I go ahead and sign the PA or have them correct it?

It’s a fair question. Dream and AGT buyers got some nice stuff. I don’t expect anything, but if they throw in a hat, I won’t say no.

My dashboard has been showing "preparing for delivery" since Wednesday. VIN is listed, but "initiate payment" button is greyed out, so I haven't had a chance to pay even though I'm doing a cash purchase. I'm really hoping my car comes on the same truck as everyone else who is scheduled to take delivery at Short Hills next week.

Did you sign the PA yet? Once I signed the PA that option was not grey anymore. This process required DA.

Was going to pickup on Monday, the 26th but... no one was at lucid corporate to receive the overnighted check from my credit union friday morning (lol) now have to wait until they re-deliver the check on tuesday the 27th.

Glad i had a little buffer for things to go wrong...

If its a banker's check, don't they take it at the service center? Thats what I have and was thinking they would accept that at delivery.

Credit unions protocol was to mail it direct to the payee. It’s stuck in an envelope 10 miles from Newark until everyone opens again Tuesday.

Small price to pay to get sub 4% financing, but yea they are a bit old school.

For those that went from in production to preparing for production, try logging in on a different device, browser, or incognito. That happened to my Pure a few days ago but it's back to in production

My credit union now is at 5.5%

Received a call from the Short Hills showroom this morning and they scheduled me for delivery on Wednesday at 1.00 pm. The car is expected to reach the showroom on Tuesday.

Wasn't expecting them to be working today on Christmas Eve. I am sure the DA's and the delivery folks are overwhelmed trying to complete deliveries before the EOY and I definitely appreciate them working through the holidays.

my credit union just hands over the check to you and you pay the dealer. Also rates are 4.24% , try CEFCU

Not surprised! I got a 4.59% rate with my credit Union, still hopeful for delivery by year end.

Parsons is offering 3.79 to 60 months and 3.99 to 84 months specifically for EVs. I went with them and closed in a week from joining to funding, yesterday in fact. FWIW, I signed my purchase agreement and made my down payment on 12/15/22. The purchase agreement shows August 11, 2022 as my order confirmation date. I also checked the new 2022 HRBlock software for EV credit. It asks for the purchase date (not delivery date). It's a reach, but those who have a PA but may not be able to have their vehicle delivered by 12/31 would IMO be eligible for the tax credit, based on the question from the tax software. Again, this is based on one data point, mine. Are others who committed by August 11 seeing the same thing?

Nice, I’m not sure how long those rates will last but I’m grateful. It ended up saving a nice chunk of change for me. They are super busy so you have to be proactive, but they were sensitive to the desire to get funded to secure the tax credit. So I’m pretty happy with the situation.

III just thought some of might want to see the”customization” I asked my DA to make for delivery. I had him put in Mojave floor mats which match the Santa Cruz interior pretty nicely. They also put the silver Lucid hub on my 20” wheels, put black out covers on the lug nuts, and remove the aero covers.

Can one one join ?
I have applied for Lucid financing last Tuesday. I got call yesterday and got connected to finance department to go over the numbers only to find out that they are still waiting on taxes and fees from Lucid.

As my back up plan, I want to apply for financing as well.
