OK We Got V2V charging...any plans for V2L?

Honestly I hope they implement it like Tesla did with the Cybertruck, just use the EVSE and one additional box next to the breaker. I can't get anyone in my area to install such a system however, they are not common enough yet to have contractors support it...

I used my $1000 charger credit to buy a $650 110v Lucid mobile charger. I had to spend $17 out of pocket to ship it.

It does not even have hole or mounting plate to mount or string it up. I also had to spend $6.99 on Amazon to get a J1772 cap for the plug to keep the bugs out.

I think a $125 - $200 non-Lucid charger from Amazon would have solved both of thse issues.

I imagine V2L hasn’t arrived yet because it hasn’t been their highest priority. There are probably other things that are higher priority.

That would be my guess. But I agree it’s more fun to come up with conspiracy theories or other such reasons. They’re just not likely. :)

I dont believe its a conspiricy. Its their business and they can run it as they want. BUT, it would be nice if they openend up their planning and priority process a bit to encourage their fan base.

On a related note... I'm in Arizona for the winter, but my kids and grandkids are all in the Seattle area, and Puget Sound Energy is projecting that they will be out of power until noon on 11/23. (They lost power around 9 PM on 11/19.) If I ever needed a reason to spring for the ability to power my townhouse via V2H, there it is!
 
I undertsand that V2H is more complex than V2L due to the need for a transfer switch, breaker connection, larger power flows, etc.
That being said, I would love to undertsand exactly what is holding up the much easier V2L. Up to 1800 W in a dark house would be wonderful.
Are there any Lucid techies reading the mail?

I have never hear a mention of V2L from Lucid. It may not be on their roadmap.
Lucid has to be very careful with allocating limited engineering resources. For example, reducing the cost of vehicle electronics for the Midsize project is likely to be much more important to the company's future.
 
That may be correct. A good place to shave costs is to remove the electronic glove box lock and just do it the normal way. My Tesla neighbor has the same thought about her glovebox. Some $ and complexity could also be shaved from the power door for charging.

That being said, I'll bet there is a big market for a low cost V2L. like Hyundi does.

It could even be that the Wunderbox for some reason can only produce 240V AC, not 120V. Doubtful but possible.

That is an interesting theory. I would still buy it, since LED lights that can run at 240V should be easy to get from Europe. Also, a simple transformer or other convertor (of the right wattage) can convert to 120V.

60Hz transformers get heavy above about 100 watts though. But I'm reasonably confident that would not be the issue. More likely just the prudent allocation of resources for Lucid's long-term plan.

Weight under 15 pounds, cost under $100 on Amazon. This also usually stays in 1 place and doesnt have to be moved. I hope it will not be needed and that Lucid can provide 110 V, like Hyundi does.

RangeXchange is essentially V2L but only 240V

I never said it wasn’t. I just agreed that Lucid never promised V2L, which is true.
 
I tried charging my Ecoflow Delta 2 Pro during our recent long-term outage because of the wildfire. Unfortunately, it didn't work, perhaps because I have a V1 mobile adapter instead of a V2 mobile adapter. Does anyone know how you tell the difference?
