I've started doing searches for Margie just in case.ummm....I believe it's marqie, not Margie
Getting someone's name wrong usually does not motivate them to do favors for those that are asking even if they say please....just sayin'
Not with those long cracks, unfortunately. It's also not in the line of sight at all, but I'm also not sure if it can be repaired.
I doubt...It's also not in the line of sight at all, but I'm also not sure if it can be repaired.
Picked up with the replaced window regulator, and on the way home on the highway:

Completely sucks. That is not repairable. You "might" be able to reduce the spread by using one of the many windshield repair kits to fill the main impact, but eventually it will have to be fixed. Based on your location, and with winter coming, I'd wait until spring to get the windshield replaced as wintertime is the WORST for rock impacts. If it's a lease, just wait until you have to return it, but if it spreads into your line of vision, you should replace. It's also not in the line of sight at all, but I'm also not sure if it can be repaired.
Piling on - they could really take some pressure off the SCs if you could schedule service in the app. Our SC just grays out all dates so you can’t even put in the issue and have them review. You HAVE to call the SC. They’re responsive, it’s just a waste of time for them to take my notes, etc and then manually triage. I have no idea why service in the app is not used.
Insurance guy here. It’s a weird area. It’s a comp claim. Glass is also a comp claim. But lower glass deductibles exist because the potential cost is usually lower. However, the lack of Lucid repair network complicates it. Ultimately is up to the claims adjuster. Kinda.Update: so, apparently glass shops can't do Gravity windshields, and so the recommended shops do not have glass certifications, which means they can't be handled under glass claims. So they have to be filed as comprehensive claims, which the insurance company will then try to apply the comprehensive deductible ($2k) rather the glass deductible ($100) for. The shop I called said people have been fighting this and winning, but didn't have specific advice. Ugh.
They’ll treat it as a glass claim; you just have to argue it.Update: so, apparently glass shops can't do Gravity windshields, and so the recommended shops do not have glass certifications, which means they can't be handled under glass claims. Thanks. Yeah, I'm with Berkley One for home, but they wanted an extra $5k/yr for auto and... no. (PURE, Cincinnati, etc were all worse.)They’ll treat it as a glass claim; you just have to argue it.
Also, every time I hear about this kind of thing I’m very happy I have PURE.
I'll report back on how it goes. This was complicated by the fact that LiMu's systems were down today, so neither the app nor website (nor partners) can access policy details. Oops.I also have Safeco-now Liberty Mutual and I specifically have a zero deductible glass policy - I pay a few bucks more on my monthly premium, but have never had an issue getting glass repaired or replaced. Granted, I don’t have a Gravity or Air, but it should still be treated the same.
You like them? We are an agent for them but it’s really hit and miss around here with what they will write. I think I’m meeting up with some of their reps in Boston in a few months. They’ll treat it as a glass claim; you just have to argue it.
