Nobody left working Lucid Support? (Also, dark pattern hold music.)

Picked up with the replaced window regulator, and on the way home on the highway 😭:

On the lighter side- the spider pattern fits into Halloween decor coming up

It's also not in the line of sight at all, but I'm also not sure if it can be repaired.

Not with those long cracks, unfortunately.

Completely sucks. That is not repairable. You "might" be able to reduce the spread by using one of the many windshield repair kits to fill the main impact, but eventually it will have to be fixed. Based on your location, and with winter coming, I'd wait until spring to get the windshield replaced as wintertime is the WORST for rock impacts. If it's a lease, just wait until you have to return it, but if it spreads into your line of vision, you should replace.

As mentioned in a different thread, the Natick SC does not do glass. They sent me a list of nearby certified body shops that have performed Gravity windshield replacements and calibration in the past. I've put tape on it in for the time being and will look at temp resin options.

Update: so, apparently glass shops can't do Gravity windshields, and so the recommended shops do not have glass certifications, which means they can't be handled under glass claims. So they have to be filed as comprehensive claims, which the insurance company will then try to apply the comprehensive deductible ($2k) rather the glass deductible ($100) for. The shop I called said people have been fighting this and winning, but didn't have specific advice. Ugh.

Piling on - they could really take some pressure off the SCs if you could schedule service in the app. Our SC just grays out all dates so you can’t even put in the issue and have them review. You HAVE to call the SC. They’re responsive, it’s just a waste of time for them to take my notes, etc and then manually triage. I have no idea why service in the app is not used.

that seems to be a limitation of the lookout window for the calendar in the app, i.e. it only goes out so many weeks. I think they could easily adjust that if they wanted to, but choose not to for whatever reason.

Personally, I find it annoying to relay problem info over the phone for a service appointment and would rather type it all out and be more detailed, so they have a reference. They've done it nicely in the app with categories and such with a place for comments. Too bad for most of who don't live in the Sacramento (Rocklin) area of CA where they have next-to-zero service queue, that doesn't work.

Insurance guy here. It’s a weird area. It’s a comp claim. Glass is also a comp claim. But lower glass deductibles exist because the potential cost is usually lower. However, the lack of Lucid repair network complicates it. Ultimately is up to the claims adjuster. Kinda.

They’ll treat it as a glass claim; you just have to argue it.

Also, every time I hear about this kind of thing I’m very happy I have PURE.

Thanks. Yeah, I'm with Berkley One for home, but they wanted an extra $5k/yr for auto and... no. (PURE, Cincinnati, etc were all worse.)

I'm with Safeco-now-Liberty Mutual, and they've actually been really good. This is the first real annoyance, and it's because the glass coverage is outsourced to... Safelite. None of this is Lucid's fault, though.

I also have Safeco-now Liberty Mutual and I specifically have a zero deductible glass policy - I pay a few bucks more on my monthly premium, but have never had an issue getting glass repaired or replaced. Granted, I don’t have a Gravity or Air, but it should still be treated the same.

I'll report back on how it goes. This was complicated by the fact that LiMu's systems were down today, so neither the app nor website (nor partners) can access policy details. Oops.

You like them? We are an agent for them but it’s really hit and miss around here with what they will write. I think I’m meeting up with some of their reps in Boston in a few months.
