GGT (white/stealth) and essentially bug and error free since I picked it up many months ago now. I got the dreaded Drive System Fault, however there were no noticeable issues. I waited a couple days, did a few resets, it would come and go, but it essentially persisted. I scheduled an appointment and took it in.
Now that said, I would experience intermittent software issues such as driver profile not saving, or phantom seat function "restore" buttons, but that would all come and go and get fixed with an update. As an early adopter, I don't give a shit about that stuff generally. But in my case, they have all been very mild glitches.
The items I identified for repair:
- slow driver window (the seals were too tight)
- Drive System Fault indicator
They said they were backed up, but gave me a GT loaner - might take 2 weeks.
They diagnosed the Drive System Fault as a faulty coolant system sensor - ordered the part and said - likely the 2 weeks.
10 days later - all done.
- Fixed window
- Fixed coolant "Driver System Fault"
- did a seat bracket for a safety recall based on some weld lengths
- checked a bunch of other things - good to go.
Pick it up and drive home. Next day:
- Shift the stick to put it in reverse - no go. It won't shift into reverse. Sit in the driveway for 5 minutes putting it in park, drive, neutral, and finally reverse.
- This now happens 2x day.
- Also, no cameras work, no dreamdrive.
Call - they tell me to bring it right back.
- Drop off - uber home.
- Text update - master rear camera failed - they have the part, will replace and then recalibrate the system - ready at 8am the next day.
- confirm the stalk issue with reverse is a software bug - patch coming.
I chalk it up to bad/lucky timing on the camera and really appreciate the effort and hard work the San Jose Service center put in to get SpaceGhost back on the road. Well done team.
