Here is the report on today's experiences in our household with our two Gravities:
My partner took the older Gravity to play tennis. When he got to the courts he called me from the parking lot to say that the Pilot Screen had blacked out during his drive. He tried to do an X/mic/brake reboot, but the car wouldn't reboot. He asked what to do. I told him to play his match and maybe the car would reset during its sleep cycle.
It did.
This evening we took the newer Gravity to dinner. As has been happening with increasing frequency, the car wouldn't respond to the key fob, so I had to use the key card to get underway. Once we were seated at the restaurant, I went into the mobile app to see if the car was locked, as recently it also frequently fails to lock even long after we're away from it. When I opened the app, I saw this:

I knew I had not had the car in Reverse at all on this trip, and it goes into Park automatically when the driver door is opened, anyway. However, I went out to the car to check. It was in Park. After our food came, I checked the app again. But before doing so, I first logged out and back in to be sure the app had refreshed. Again, I got this:

As it happened, we were having dinner with the guys who do the "Upcurrent EVs" YouTube channel. Before I told them anything about the recent deluge of software issues we've been having with both our Gravities, I asked them how their Gravity was behaving. The first thing one of the guys said was, "it's the damndest thing, but ever since the 3.5.1 update we've had one new issue after another." The most recent issue was yesterday. He got into the Gravity and immediately got a brake system warning. He tried to do an X/mic/brake reset but found the brake pedal was "bricked" and wouldn't move. So he took his Bolt instead, hoping the Lucid issue would resolve when it went back to sleep. It did, but at this point the other guy said he has quit driving the Gravity and always takes the Bolt because he's tired of dealing with Gravity issues. (They had wanted to meet for dinner because they are prepping their 6-month Gravity ownership review for their channel. It doesn't promise to be pretty.)
When we got home, I plugged the car in and went inside the house. A few minutes later I passed the hallway to the garage and saw through the frosted glass door that the Lucid headlights and taillights were still on. As has been happening lately, the car had not powered down or locked. The Vibe lighting was on, the screens were lit, and the audio and A/C systems were still running. So I had to go back inside to get the key and my cell phone so that I could power the car down and lock it.
Sad to say, this was not an unusual day of living with our Gravities.
We also told these guys that we have scrapped our plans to drive one of the Gravities cross-country this summer. We just don't trust getting on the road with them for this kind of trip.
