New Ad Campaign

I like that Lucid is being promoted like this on X. Sweet irony I think.
The irony of using Armstrong (and NASA) was not lost on me either.

Simone and Ali are two of my heroes, along with Armstrong, so this ad (for my tastes and interests) could literally not have been better, from a content perspective.

Sure, the cuts could’ve been cleaner, but I don’t know if it would have made a real difference.

Beautifully done, but where is it running? A great ad that few see isn’t a great ad in the end.
It only launched today, so give it a bit to make its way through the various tubes.

Ali, Simone and Armstrong made history. Ali changed boxing forever. People will understand even if they did not experience those icons as some of us did. The ad is a clear and bold statement of the groundbreaking truth that is Lucid. We are fortunate to experience a history-making automobile firsthand. To me the ad is likely an opening gambit that will have follow-on versions with the same vibe that show more of the Air and Gravity. Bravo Lucid!

I don’t think there has ever been a clearer “statement of values” in an ad campaign since “think different.”

Yes, this has fewer shots of the car. Those will come.

But in terms of establishing the brand identity? This is it. Uncompromising, raising the bar, pushing the envelope so that everyone else has to catch up… that’s immensely clear.
Yeah, this is one of the best ads I've ever seen. When I watched it at lunch, I did it without audio, and it was already pretty good. Then, I came home and listened to it with sound... holy crap. I literally got chills!

Run it on TV.. oh I dunno, lets pick Feb 9th 2025, say around 645pm EST on FOX?

I think that it's just what Lucid needs just when Lucid needs it.

Hmmm. One mans different option. Don't want to quash the vibe but I doubt this ad moves the needle. Concept and slogan are great but the execution falls short. It's a choppy edit to a fault than can turn some folks off. I feel it's hard to tell what you are selling if you are not already a fan like I am. The car cuts chosen , while spirited, are too few and lack the elegance which is the core of our elevated driving experience. I just think a few seconds where you can really linger over our car would visually reinforce its claim of superiority. (Story I could not keep my mouth shut as I used to do car adds)
I suspect this is only the opening salvo -- " We told you this is the best damn car. Now, we'll show you how and why."

Expect a campaign, not a stand-alone spot. But, you were in the business so you know the deal.

I agree, but advertising, respectfully, at this point is not about making “Statements”. It’s about motivating a non considering consumer to consider your product. I don’t know if there is enough car in this particular ad to accomplish that. I sure hope so.

I think it's a good ad.
Feels to me like it shares a lot of DNA with the old Chiat/Day Apple ads.
The voice over intrigues me, as I keep thinking I should be able to place it.
One thing about the voice over... It suggests a company based in Newark, New Jersey more than Newark, California!
